"DMV was the first of 6 contractors that I had spoken with to completely remodel my kitchen. They were prompt, to the point, and quick to give a design and a quote. I liked their input and ideas, but surfed around for another month, worked with an architect and several other designers, and evetually came back to what DMV had designed from the beginning. (Wish I had skipped the pricey architect!) They gave good advice on things that seemed so simple (cabinet pulls) but were overwhelming when you looked at all of the possible options. The job only took 18 days (though the space was "easy" since my basement is unfinished and they had easy access to move pipes, wiring and ducts. My electric panel also had a lot of space in it and did not require any crazy upgrade.) The only minor delays were my fault as I took some time mulling over a few things. My neighbors commented that the workers were extremely courteous, clean, and quiet and did not disturb them throughout the project. My kitchen renovation did not change the footprint, however, I did move an extrerior door and changed the size and placement of a new window. The project was completed a month ahead of schedule and on budget. Everything was kept clean while in process and I was really not inconvenienced by not haing a workable kitchen very much at all. Javier, Lucas, Alex and John were great at communicating and they were on time or early every day. I highly recommend them."

"I needed to upgrade my galley style kitchen in an old row house in DC. Last reno was 20 years ago, a lot of wear and tear was showing and some issues behind the scenes needed to be fixed. Not able to make the kitchen bigger, was hoping by making it lighter and brighter with cabinets and paint would give it a more specious appearance. My initial meeting with Mr. Tony Heard gave me a lot of confidence that he understood what I was looking for as well as ensuring that any issues would be addressed and resolved. The first day of renovation, I met with the team, led by Mr. George Pitts who explained the process. They were all very personable and just all-around good people to work with. One of my neighbors mentioned, "I bet your kitchen will look amazing, those guys are the happiest contractors I have ever seen. Seems they love what they do". I had to agree, everyone was a joy to work with and it really put my mind at ease. The communication with Mr. George and others was always clear and timely, specially making it a point to show me specific issues that needed to be fixed, and the cost so there would be no financial surprises. I had no doubt that the outcome was going look nice, but I must admit that once I saw the finished kitchen I was extremely pleased. The look and the attention to detail, came out better than I expected. It was completed right before Thanksgiving and family and friends were amazed. And to top it all off, I got exactly what I wanted in a kitchen, and it all came within my budget. Win Win!! "I asked for a complete bathroom makeover and left the vision up to Mike — and I couldn’t be happier. From securing the foundation and properly waterproofing the space to the final finishing touches, everything was handled with professionalism and care. The black and white tile design is absolutely beautiful and timeless. The built-in bench and handheld shower add comfort and functionality, and I specifically requested a serene, open space without glass — which was executed perfectly. The entire project was completed with great communication, attention to detail, and at a reasonable cost. "Luis Vazquez and his assistant arrived on time on a Sunday.  He asked me and my husband what tasks we wanted completed.  We provided him with a list of work to be completed and we gave a brief explanation.  They began completing the tasks immediately.  They were especially helpful with the crack repair on the kitchen ceiling.  My husband tried to fix the crack about 3 weeks ago but it didn't look professionally done.  Luis repaired the crack but the primer he applied to the ceiling hadn't dried completely.  He did sand the ceiling in the dry spots before he left our home.  He told us what to do to complete the repair (simple and quick) after the primer dried and now the ceiling looks great--you wouldn't even know the ceiling was ever cracked.  Overall, Luis and his assistant did a great job.  They were professional and friendly.  The only con I want to mention is, not knowing that  there was a 4 hour minimum of work.  They completed the work in 3.5 hours. When I spoke to Luis on the telephone he didn't mention this to me so I was caught off guard when I saw it written on the invoice.  When I told him that I wasn't aware of the 4 hour minimum he smiled and offered no response.  If not for this, I would have rated his overall performance with an A.  This is also why I rated the price with a D."
