"I reached out to Blaine Construction in a panic over my cabinet doors as they were done incorrectly by another company and I was in the process of listing my home for rent. They came out same day and got measurements, told me it was an easy fix and built and installed custom doors in about a week and a half. I’m very thankful for them and their customer service! Would absolutely hire them again!"

"Everything went fantastic. We actually love our kitchen and laundry room now. We had gotten to the point we hated the kitchen and tolerated the laundry room. Now both and especially the kitchen look very elegant. Working with Micah was wonderful. He was very professional, offered many suggestions on what was needed or how it should be done. He was honest, listened and understood what we needed, went out of his way to insure that we were happy and was very meticulous about his work.
We have a very large kitchen so needless to say it was a major undertaking especially correcting all the problems left by the original cabinet maker. When Micah finished it looked like we had installed all new high-end cabinets but at almost half the price of putting in new cabinets.
So anyone that has a situation like us where the cabinet boxes themselves are salvageable we highly recommend Residential Facelift. We had looked at other companies that reface kitchen cabinets but found that their techniques were not appealing and were more expensive. We are definitely pleased with the work Residential Facelift had done and highly recommend them. In fact we are already thinking about them doing the cabinets and trim in our master bathroom (again fixing the disaster from the original cabinet maker)."

"From initial contact to finishing up, the Andersons listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, make suggestions, and do what they say they will do. The carpenters (2) are knowledgable, communicate consistently and in a timely manner, and keep work spaces neat and as clean as possible. We were able to live and work in our home throughout the project, including being able to use the fridge and stove. During shelter in place, they followed social distancing and masking protocols, so we felt comfortable continuing the project especially as DreamMaker handles all the work; the only subcontractors involved were the plumbers and counter-top installers. Work doesn't begin until all the materials (appliances, finishes, etc) have arrived, so there is no waiting for anything during construction. Our complete remodel of kitchen and bath took five weeks with no time wasted."

"They're a subcontractor for Home Depot. They did everything. They were fine. If there was something wrong, we called Depot and then they came out and fixed it. So, there was no problem with that. But the only other thing was, there was a little problem at first, with the inspections. They weren't quite up-to-date with what had to be inspected and what shouldn't be inspected and that sort of thing. One guy came in here and it was the wrong inspector and they were going to go along with it. At first, I was a little bit upset about that. So, I called up on my own and talked to the inspection department and got it straightened out because it was going to cost an even bigger amount than I paid. They came back here and they said we had to put hardwired fire and smoke detectors in the house because we were remodeling. I said, I was remodeling one bathroom, not the house. So, we got that straightened out. The price was pretty high. They had good guys who knew what they were doing. It was just one of their inspectors."

"They are actually a national firm. I spent between $8000 and $10000. They did the complete tear down and reshingle in one day. They had 10 guys working here. They worked hard. They did it quickly. There wasn't any inconvenience at all. They got up there and did the work. I don't know anybody else who does it in one day with the size of the roof that we have. We've got a 4000 sqft house. I was happy."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Cobbtown, GA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
