"They spent time working out the details with me re: the gate so it was the best possible location.  Good solid post hole was dug and post was cemented in.  They worked a long time on the cat door, it is kind of a patch work job but they did the best they could with what they had.

"Sergio arrived punctually and analyzed the materials he would need for the repairs. He went to a local near-by hardware store and purchased the necessary sheet rock, which I paid for as it was an extra item. In order to get at the damage, he had to pull off a large 4x4 section of peg-board that itself had been torn. We discussed what might be done to replace,the peg-board but made no decision at that time. I left him to do the work, but when I returned, he had removed the peg-board so carefully that it could be remounted and used again, over the now completely repaired and re plastered damage! He also had spied a crack in the garage ceiling that I had overlooked, and repaired it with tape at his own initiative! Impressive work! I would call upon D&R again for this kind of repair. They also do other kinds of construction work, such as replacing cracked sidewalk or worn driveways."

"We had them come out and install laminate wood flooring for us. They didn't seem to have much knowledge in laminate flooring and ruined a few of the pieces. Also they took off our door frames, had they read the instructions, they wouldn't have had to do so. When they put our door frames back, they left it so messy and caulk was everywhere (even on our new flooring) that we had to sand it down and repaint everything. Although they were friendly, I would not recommend them.

"Mike is fantastic! I went with him based on reviews - the reviews don’t lie! Mike is very professional, trustworthy, honest, efficient, and went above and beyond for us today. Fixed a leaking sink drain, no problem; put a new sliding closet door track and hanging hardware on the doors, no problem. But, when I detected another possible problem, he went above and beyond to inspect the issue and offered to help fix it! He also does painting, so yeah, we’re having him back!!! "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
