"Peter was absolutely great to work with. He arrived on time, worked efficiently, and explained what he was doing.

The issue I called about was a single receptacle that had overheated and melted down in an office that was a recent addition to the house. He explained that it was due to the previous installer using 15 amp outlets on a 20 amp circuit, which was very concerning to me as I work from home and have quite a bit of equipment in that office.

The scope of the work changed as I added in all the other outlets I now wanted replaced, including several in the older part of the house where there is still aluminum wiring. As it was getting late in the day on Friday he offered to come back on Saturday morning .He then gave me the opportunity to save some money by purchasing the outlets myself and even wrote down exactly what items to purchase.

He arrived on time Saturday morning and brought along assistance. The whole process went quickly and smoothly, and I feel as if the cost was a great value for the amount of work done. We will be having him back soon to install some security lighting and I am confident that I have found a reliable, professional, skilled electrician."

"Relying on Angie's list, I contacted Phil York, owner of Country Decks Unlimited, servicing Albuquerque and neighboring towns such as Tijeras in New Mexico.  He called promptlyand submitted an estimate to replace a wrap around deck.  Within a day, he had visited the site, taken measurements, and given us an estimate.  His estimate was not the lowest, but we could tell through phone conversations and emails that he certainly knew his business and that he would be trustworthy.  We felt very comfortable dealing with him and settled on him.  We met at our home at a prearanged time to sign the contract and make the first payment to buy the materials.  From the start, he was professional, friendly, and reassuring; very personable and easy going.  He started the project on time, disassembling the old deck, building a new foundation, and building the deck.  A day .before he was finished, he made us aware of a design error we had made.  We had stairs descending into the vegetable garden!  He suggested a  solution that was simple and elegant. We were going to have the deck stained to match the stucco, but he suggested, instead, to apply a clear coating to allow for the lovely redwood to show its splendor.  The project ended exactly on the day that Phil had chosen.  It took him only 1.5 weeks!  His crew of two were polite, friendly and hard working.  We were thankful that everything that Phil said was going to happen, did happen.  No stories, no delays, no extra expenses or add ons.  We are planning to employ him further with additional projects, such as painting the roof eaves and window frames.  Thanks Angie for the recommendation!  Phil York is gold!"

"Sergio arrived punctually and analyzed the materials he would need for the repairs. He went to a local near-by hardware store and purchased the necessary sheet rock, which I paid for as it was an extra item. In order to get at the damage, he had to pull off a large 4x4 section of peg-board that itself had been torn. We discussed what might be done to replace,the peg-board but made no decision at that time. I left him to do the work, but when I returned, he had removed the peg-board so carefully that it could be remounted and used again, over the now completely repaired and re plastered damage! He also had spied a crack in the garage ceiling that I had overlooked, and repaired it with tape at his own initiative! Impressive work! I would call upon D&R again for this kind of repair. They also do other kinds of construction work, such as replacing cracked sidewalk or worn driveways."
