"I called for a couple estimates on my siding project. 2FL was 1 of 3 estimates I received. They were priced in the middle of the 3, but the sales guy was the most honest and genuine so we decided on 2FL. Chris was very communicative throughout the project. He didnâ t make promises that couldnâ t be kept and we appreciated that. Having had a lot of work on our house recently, some contractors have promised expedited timelines despite supply and labor shortages. Chris was really honest about these things from the start and thatâ s primarily why we chose him. He gained our trust fairly quickly with his honesty. There were some set backs with labor and our project was delayed about 2-3 weeks beyond our tentative start date which was 2 months out as it was, but Chris kept open lines of communication about this. When the project was delayed, we didnâ t feel that we were somehow lied to about the timeline because Chris had all the supplies delivered to the house already and things were set up. He was paying for the port-a-potty and the giant dumpster during this time so he was ready, but a crew was behind on another job and he was up front about that. The guys who were assigned to our job were great. They were on the project every day and worked long hours. They were neat and didnâ t leave a mess behind. The siding looked great and I noticed their attention to detail with caulking, the corner cuts, and the way the pieces fit together. We had a couple things arise during the project that canâ t be planned for until you start opening things up and seeing whatâ s behind the existing siding and whatnot. We had an asbestos scare, but after a survey, it was resolved and we lucked out. No asbestos. Chris was very easy to work with. Heâ s open, honest, and has a lot of integrity. When youâ re doing home improvement projects, itâ s important to be realistic about possible scenarios like asbestos behind existing siding or labor shortages. These things are beyond the companyâ s control so while itâ s frustrating that your timeline might be pushed back a bit, it would happen with any company thatâ s hired. What I liked about Chris in this situation is that he has great communication and works collaboratively, not unilaterally. If I had a complaint, it would be that 2FL does subcontract so you never know what youâ re going to get with the crew. With that said, I felt that 2FL has a good â pickerâ and we got a good crew. I would highly suggest 2FL, or more specifically, I would highly recommend Chris."
