"We hired Homefix to install wood floors on the main level of our home. The contractor who did the work did a horrible job. He did not stain under the fridge, the stove (or the toilet-as we found out later). This contractor was later fired, and Homefix still stands by their work. It’s been a couple of years and the floors are now warped, scratched and the stain is splotchy. We asked for 2 coats of polyurethane, and we received none. We recently asked them to come out and look at it. The owner came out and brought another contractor with him. They said they could redo the floors at full price. When the contractor was alone with my husband, he told him that it was shoddy work and that the original contractor had done a horrible job. We’ve asked Homefix to fix the problem and the owner still maintains that the original job was fine. We’ve tried hard to be cordial and understanding, but we are getting frustrated."

"Absolute worse company to use and WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Had my car tinted through dealership contract and wanted to go darker and Andy said he could layer tint to make it dark and his techs did it and they trapped lint in between the tint and said they would fix and kept my car for 3 days and only tried to fix 2 windows with the same issues, when I questioned him about it he said "we don't warranty layered tint." This was the job he said they could do and won't fix it or make it right. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. I would pay out of pocket and will now have to because of their incompetence. They can't even get the clear puddle guards over the side mirrors right. I will say Chris was kind and empathetic but this company is not a company I would ever recommend and THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK...stay away..."

"I will never do business with your company again. I am beyond grateful we did NOT have your tech Robert back out to our property and decided to get a second opinion. Our plumbing issue was fixed in 30 minutes by another company for only $250!! They were able to remove the cable that was stuck in the pipe as it was not under the cement of patio like you said. It is not necessary to redo the entire plumbing under my house for $6000-$36,000 as proposed because it?s in good condition, nor was it necessary to propose a charge of $1100 initially to do the job that needed to be done. Not only am I appalled at all of the estimated charges, but at the work your tech DIDN'T do after an ENTIRE DAY! He also left a wad of electrical wire in my pipe that was used to try and pull out the cable I guess or what I?m assuming, clog the pipe even more so we would be suckered into spending thousands on work that NEVER needed to be completed in the first place. This business is a scam! "

FAQs for glass shower door or enclosure repair projects in Colorado Springs, CO

The type of glass shower you choose depends on your household size, lifestyle, and budget. Custom designs and frameless doors will cost more to install and repair. Framed glass shower doors can be a more budget-friendly option.

If your glass shower has many people using it daily, you also want to opt for durable glass options, and you’ll need to stay on top of maintenance and repairs.

Regular cleaning and sealing are key to keeping a glass shower door in its best shape. A glass shower door looks great in modern bathrooms, but when the glass is covered in dried water spots or smudged fingerprints, it can make the entire bathroom look messy.

  • Apply water repellent: Water repellent costs about $5 to $10. Use it to help wick away water droplets from the glass.

  • Squeegee the walls: Keep a squeegee in the shower, and use it to remove water from the glass after each shower; this only takes a few minutes.

  • Weekly cleaning: Each week, use a glass-safe cleaner or a foam cleaning eraser to scrub down glass shower walls.

  • Monthly cleaning: Check caulking and reapply as needed to prevent leaks, particularly for frameless doors. Clean the tracks to prevent the door from sticking.

There are several glass treatment options out there that can make it easier to keep your glass shower door clean. Treatments can help keep soap scum, corrosion, and pesky little fingerprints at bay. You might pay as much as a 30% upcharge on the price of your glass shower door to add a protective coating.

Even with a protective coating, you have to clean your shower. If you are diligent about wiping down shower walls after use and giving the glass a more thorough cleaning every week, you can likely save money and skip the added glass treatment.

If your shower endures heavy use from multiple family members and guests, a protective coating can make it easier to keep the glass spotless.
