"Austin was fantastic! He called to get details on the work I needed done which was a minor repair. I told him that I thought it was likely too small of a project for him but he was in the area and said he was happy to come by to take a look. Not only did he come by, but he did the minor repair while here which was completely unexpected. He said, "sometimes it's not about the job but helping someone out". IMO that is a way to run a business. When I am ready to complete my larger project, there is no question who I will call. I will also refer him to everyone I know AND check with my building to see if he can be added to our preferred vendor list. I couldn't be happier to have found Austin and his company Quazs Glass."

"After getting a very fair and straightforward quote from Austin, Andrew and Mark arrived the following day to remove and replace a glass shower door. Their manner and their work was smooth and without fuss - in other words, a real professional job. They also cleaned everything as they went along, but also removed all the debris and old, corroded hardware. I would certainly turn to them for future projects."

"Very positive. Honest, quality experience, good price. Flooded office: Removed plasterboard, insulation, vinyl plank flooring, gas furnace, toilet, sink & mirror, etc. Dried office, then put everything back together. Difficult 13 foot high ceilings required ladders. Excellent paint job. I've used Glassic for new windows and referred to friends and relatives for years. No complaints. Nice guy to work with."

"The service was great. It was hard to schedule with them, but all the reviews had said that, so I had anticipated it, but other than that, everything was great.  I think everything was done well. The interactions were great, and the door has been working wonderfully. We did not spend more than the big deal."

FAQs for glass shower door or enclosure repair projects in Seattle, WA

The type of glass shower you choose depends on your household size, lifestyle, and budget. Custom designs and frameless doors will cost more to install and repair. Framed glass shower doors can be a more budget-friendly option.

If your glass shower has many people using it daily, you also want to opt for durable glass options, and you’ll need to stay on top of maintenance and repairs.

Regular cleaning and sealing are key to keeping a glass shower door in its best shape. A glass shower door looks great in modern bathrooms, but when the glass is covered in dried water spots or smudged fingerprints, it can make the entire bathroom look messy.

  • Apply water repellent: Water repellent costs about $5 to $10. Use it to help wick away water droplets from the glass.

  • Squeegee the walls: Keep a squeegee in the shower, and use it to remove water from the glass after each shower; this only takes a few minutes.

  • Weekly cleaning: Each week, use a glass-safe cleaner or a foam cleaning eraser to scrub down glass shower walls.

  • Monthly cleaning: Check caulking and reapply as needed to prevent leaks, particularly for frameless doors. Clean the tracks to prevent the door from sticking.

There are several glass treatment options out there that can make it easier to keep your glass shower door clean. Treatments can help keep soap scum, corrosion, and pesky little fingerprints at bay. You might pay as much as a 30% upcharge on the price of your glass shower door to add a protective coating.

Even with a protective coating, you have to clean your shower. If you are diligent about wiping down shower walls after use and giving the glass a more thorough cleaning every week, you can likely save money and skip the added glass treatment.

If your shower endures heavy use from multiple family members and guests, a protective coating can make it easier to keep the glass spotless.
