"Used this service through the summer for basic mowing on my yard.  I'll start with the good first.  They definitely made sure that my lawn was mowed once a week.  Now on to the rest.  Asked multiple times to have the crew raise the mower blades so that they weren't cutting my grass so short & to stop edging to the ground around the house & other obstacles.  The mowing issue was that they were cutting the grass so short that it was dying & turning brown.  The trimming was even more destructive.  Basically, they trimmed all the way to the ground so every object they trimmed around now has a ring of dirt instead of grass,  I called & spoke to the owner about this & he said he would speak to the crew to remedy the situation.  Next week, same crew, same results.  Contacted owner again.  Was told that he would address it with the crew again.  Next week, same crew, same results.   <br /> Definitely do not recommend for any lawn service from this company as they have made a wreck of my yard. <br />"

"Our lawn was a hot mess after 8 years in our house with only minimal care - we would put down fertilizer and weed killer granules a couple times a year but not always early enough or quite right timing with rain. We can manage mowing and edging, but the rest... Finally, we decided to ask for help. <br /> Cragen Lawn Care was well reviewed on Angies List and of the companies we contacted, was the fastest to send someone out to quote the care.  While the number of applications (5) is a fewer than some of the others, the lawn seems to be doing fine.  The person who quoted the work was actually one of the owners and the couple of times I have called to ask about when the service was (once for scheduling around tree planting and once since the weeds were getting bad), we have received calls back within 48 hours. <br /> The lawn looks better than it has since we moved in.  We get a little card stuck in a holder near the driveway to alert us to stay off the grass and an additional note in the door handle to indicate what was done and if there is anything we need to know - sharpen blades, raise mower deck, water, etc. We will definitely be using them next year! <br />"

Leo and his team cleared four beds and prepped them for mulch, including seven large ornamental grasses. "We called and within 10 days had an appt for someone to diagnose why our trees didn't leaf out very well.  They were ahead of time for their appt and said it was because of the drought last summer and gave us a written estimate for fertilizing the trees which is about all you can do for this problem. <br />"

My lawn general looks good but has had problems with the harsh weather and fungus issues. They do a good job of controlling it. He sends great info in his emails. The owner is very knowledgeable. <br />"
