"Bruce arrived to start the job on time and is quite methodical, with everything going in the right order. He has the tools to do ANYTHING and completely filled our 2 car garage with tools, materials, cabinets, etc. Since everything was replaced, he had to use skills on so many levels, including dry wall, insulation, flooring, electrical, plumbing, granite work, painting, heating, etc. I think he truly excels at molding/trim work and the cabinet installing. Perfection. An example of true attention to detail: Since they had to cut into our floor joists (beneath the bathroom) to accommodate new drain systems, Bruce took it upon himself to find a local metal fabricator to create steel U-shaped supports so that our floor remained as strong as before. Some people would have left that out.... He wanted things to be correct and often asked for our approval...making any changes we requested along the way. He is approachable. He had a great, professional introduction the first day we met and proposed a budget. Why we did not give Bruce all A's---and if there is any down side---it would be a rather severe minimizing of the total amount of time needed for the project. As a builder, he is hard to fault in that we did stick to our agreed budget and if he was working for weeks beyond the planned completion time...well, it was not costing us any more. I believe Bruce to be a very honest person and understand that any building project has delays. Toward the end, as another project became reality, I believe Bruce lost some focus here. That said, we are happy with our finished bathroom and make a positive recommendation. Your Designs LLC can be trusted. ((I am having trouble porting over pictures...sorry...if I can add them later, I will. For now, I can say I think it looks just as we planned...and this company delivered!))"

"They gave the best estimate, including 2 coats of paint even though I was not changing color. They could not do the work immediately but I didn't care. When they came, they were very thorough in sanding and scraping the doors even though that extended the time they spent on the job. Unfortunately the door stuck shut when the job was finished, but they came out the next day and solved the problem."

"I live in Vancouver, BC and the company is based in Houston, TX so a degree of trust is necessary before any order is placed. In my case the awning was sent via truck freight and a large metal-clad crate arrived, seemingly intact. Not immediately apparent when the goods were received was the fact that a fork lift had penetrated the base of the crate and crushed the canopy beyond repair. When I attempted to claim damage insurance from the shipper they sent out a damage inspector and I thought everything was on-track. To my amazement, the freight company declined responsibility for the damage and refused to pay any part of the claim. At this point James Threadgill of Classic Copper Works stepped in to offer a full replacement of the damaged item at no cost to me. I have now received the replacement item (this time sent by FedEx rather than the dodgy truck freight firm) and it is perfect. Classic Copper Works certainly did not make a profit on this transaction but they earned my respect. Thanks."

"We had called 3 companies to give us estimates on this work.  Tom Krzystan of Home Renovation & Repair by Tom was by far the most timely and professional of all of them.  He communicated with us both by email and by phone and always got back with us when he said he would.  <br /> <br /> He tore down the soffitt over our snack bar in our dining area that had been poorly constructed (it was VERY crooked) by a previous homeowner and rebuilt it, utilizing as much of the original trim as possible to save us money.  He gave us a lot of different ideas for lighting.  (The original soffitt had fluorescent lights in it that shouldn't have been dimmable, but were on a dimmer switch)  He installed CFL canned spotlights that are dimmable.  While he was here, he recommended that we change out the hot, expensive lights we had in the kitchen for cooler, less costly CFL bulbs and he personally picked them out so they were the same lighting colors as the new ones and then installed them for us for only the cost of the bulbs.  <br /> <br /> He did an excellent, professional job.  He was extremely cognizant of keeping our home and his work area clean at all times.  Never once did we have to clean up after he left.  It was a relatively small job, but he treated us as though he was building a mansion for us!!  He was amazing and I highly recommend him.  He is a licensed contractor and extremely knowledgeable, reliable, and personable."
