"My Town Handyman LLC remodeled my laundry room.  I called for an estimate, and he was able to come by that same evening. The work involved was removing the laminate flooring, installing ceramic tile (beautiful), removing wall paper and priming and painting (flawless), installing new lighting, a laundry room sink, counter, and cabinet, custom building cabinets, a seating bench, shelves, and installing bead board and crown moulding.  I wanted to repurpose some pantry cabinets from an old kitchen remodel.  He built a base to raise the old cabinets to ceiling height, and painted them a neutral color (they were a dark wood). He custom built a bench and shelves. I showed him photos I found online and he worked with me to create a design I love!

This was the first remodeling job I coordinated "by myself" (my husband usually supervises any work done on our house). I never felt rushed or put off if I had a question or concern.  Each morning Sergiy explained what work he would be doing that day.  At the end of the day we would go over what he did.  He welcomed any questions, and was truly concerned that I was happy with the work every step of the way.  I paid for the materials, and Sergiy gave me the receipts each day, explaining them in detail.  At the end of the job, he returned the unused materials and sent me a check!  Sergiy was a pleasure to work with ? he was honest, punctual, and thorough.  His assistants, Alex and Nick, were meticulous craftsmen.  The work area was taped off, debris removed and room swept clean each day.  There were no surprises.  The job was done on budget, and ahead of schedule.  They were very punctual, arriving about 8:30 AM each day, and worked every day (except Sunday) until the job was completed.  Sergiy was on site 90% of the time, but if he had to leave (usually to purchase materials) he was always available by phone or text.  I highly recommend My Town Handyman and Intend to use him again in the future."

"I used A-Star last summer. It went very well. From the salesman to the installers, everyone was very professional, very accommodating, and very punctual. The installation was done in the end of August 2014. When I initially contacted them, summer was just around the corner. As you can imagine, they were booked solid for installations through almost the end of summer, however, they loaned me 4 or 5 (I don't remember exactly) brand new window units to put throughout my house until they could complete the installation, and at no additional cost. I was very pleased with their service. Recently, an issue arose with the thermostat that affected our ability to use the Central Air. They came as soon as I called and serviced it at no charge being as that it had been installed less than a year ago. They offer service plans in connection with the manufacturers warranty, and they were significantly cheaper price wise than all the local competitors. I will continue to utilize their company and service, as well as highly recommend them to others.

He is organized, efficient and professional and took less than a day to get this job done. "We took out the old tiles, removed the toilet and baseboards, and bought the tile before they came to do the installation. The work was done on 9-01-16. When I went to wash off the remaining haze a couple of days later, I discovered that the tiles were two different shades. It was obvious when they were on the floor. The person doing the installation should have seen this. We think he did but, since he didn't speak any English, might not have known how to communicate that to us. We called Pacific Stone & Tile and they said that they would come and replace the tiles that needed to be replaced. We could not match either shade of tile and had to buy two more boxes with a different shade number. Twice an appointment was made and canceled. The third one, 9-26-16, was kept and they redid the whole floor with the new tile. Before they started, all of the tiles were laid out on the garage floor to check for any variations. We had to buy the material to install the tiles, but they did not charge for any additional labor. The floor was checked before they left and everything looks fine. Tomorrow I will wash down the tiles to remove any haze and we can start thinking about getting everything back together again."

"They repaired an old lead and cast iron drain line that was UGLY to do. Roger showed up when he said he would, his crew showed up the next day and got after it!! What they did in 3-1/2 hours would have taken me a day or two doing it myself. They were fair and honest, cleaned up after themselves, and charged me less than the initial estimate. Whats not to like?? Great work, quickly done, and fairly priced."
