"The first guy came over and took pictures on an ipad and gave an estimate. I have tile on the first portion of the roof and then the rest is a graded flat roof. He entered the roof from the front meaning he walked on the tiles. After the repairs we completed, we had another big storm and the roof leaked where the tiles were. I later learned you are not supposed to walk on tile. I think he may have disturbed something causing the new leak. He was professional and explained all of the costs, showed me photos. The actual repair person came while I was at work and did the repairs. He sent pictures of all of the completed work. The leak that I called for repair was repaired and never leaked again. He cleaned up the roof as well. I was happy with this. I tried contacting them again but never received a reply. Overall, they got the job done but I believe more care should be taken on a tile roof. I think they should be more responsive to emails because I would have used them again. They were responsive to the initial scheduling and consultation but after that, I could not get a reply."

"They initially re-plumbed our entire house years ago so we are still under a service contract with them. They do excellent work. We have had no problems with them. They were very professional. There were only about two of them here at a time and they come do whatever they have to do and then, the construction crew came in after them and did what they had to do. We are very pleased with them. A lot of companies would not work with construction crews that way, but they do."

Patios by B&B is a well run, competent and fair company to work with.  I did a major remodel and addition on to my home and spoke to Jeff Goldman 4 months before I planned to take on my yard.  I received some very good ideas from Jeff that other paver companies had not thought of and the price was within my budget and very fair.  After bidding this job to 5 other companies, B&B got the job and I could not be happier with the results.

My yard looks amazing, the patio cover is top of the line and every detail that I wanted was completed in record time.  On all projects, there are hiccups.  We had them but either Jeff or his crew were out to remedy any issues that came up and they did an outstanding job.

If you are looking to get rid of your grass here in CA and make an oasis in your back yard - Jeff Goldman is your guy.  He has designed some amazing patios and mine is no exception.  I did not know anything about this company prior to my remodel and I am grateful for Angie's List for providing me with an outstanding contractor.  Thumbs UP on this one!!!!!!!

"Once started the electrician said the ceiling fan would work on half of the house where it was installed and that since my house was wide it probably wouldn't suck the air out of the other half where sun shines on kitchen, living rm and dining area.  Also since it was an older house the electrical box was sparking from overload since the house was older and not build for all the appliances used today.  Three options were to rewire, add a circuit at a minimum or add a new box and split the load.   So with that i ended up adding the 2nd attic fan and electrical box witht the load split.  I felt the work was required and ended up spending $2,400 which was quite a bit more than expected.
The work was done neatly and they seemed very efficient.  The light bulb included in the ceiling fan box was packed broken.  It required a special bulb that had two prongs (not screw in) so I went back to Home Depot to get a replacement while they were working.  They waited for the bulb to install it before leaving wanting to make sure everything was working correctly before leaving.

FAQs for excavation major grading or resloping projects in Corona, CA

You can excavate in winter, but frozen soil slows down the process and increases labor costs. Many grading companies offer discounted rates during their off-season, so ask for a winter quote and weigh the savings against a longer timeline. A brief conversation with a local professional will help determine whether cold-weather excavation is suitable for your site.

Foundation digs can be completed in as little as three days or take up to three weeks. Soil density, access, weather, and hidden obstacles all play a role, so every timeline is a bit different. Have your contractor walk the site and flag any potential issues early—clear expectations help keep both the schedule and budget on track.

You must always call 811 before excavating. Dial 811 a few days in advance so that utility crews can mark underground lines and ensure the area is safe for digging. Hitting a buried cable or gas pipe can be both dangerous and expensive, and many municipalities will not issue permits unless the site is flagged correctly.

To remove soil during an excavation project, your crew will load the spoil into dump trucks with a backhoe or excavator, haul it to a disposal site, and return for the next load. Efficient hauling keeps the work zone clear and the project moving. Depending on the site and volume of osil, multiple trucks may rotate to maintain a steady flow.
