All I'd heard my whole life was how contractors can't be trusted, they always end up charging way more than the initial quote, they always take way longer to finish than expected, and communicating with them is a chore and you'll never be able to contact them again once their work is finished. They were respectful of the house, as far as putting plastic down so the carpets, walls etc. were never damaged during their time here.
