"Joey from Halo handled our termite inspection with true professionalism. He took his time, was thorough in checking the entire property, and explained what he was looking for—and why—in clear, easy-to-understand terms. He answered every question patiently and outlined what to monitor going forward without any pressure. I left the appointment feeling informed and confident, and I genuinely got the sense that he’s trustworthy. I’d happily recommend Joey and Halo to anyone needing a careful, honest termite inspection."

"The introductory meeting went very well. The representative, Stephan, was very professional, arrived on time and had a professional appearance. He asked good questions , so to understand the extent of our rodent house mates and wanted to see all areas of the house inside and out. He completed a thorough inspection and educated me with his findings and clearly proposed what his company could do to remove the mice. We signed up and are looking forward to being mouse free!"

"Homeguard pest control send someone for the service. Without any notice. Claims they finish the service. But my cob webs and inside of the home were never serviced. They offered to come back and finish the service. They said they will come on Friday. But never showed up and didnt even let me know. Now theyre asking for payment first? They want payment before the service is even completed. "

"Calvin was who called me back and he said in order for them to come out and give me a service I would have to sign an agreement that I would continue with them for a year. When I asked what happens if I'm not happy with the job, Calvin said it would be no problem to discontinue. Well, I wan't happy with the job, though the tech that came out to service our home was very nice and professional. However, it did not take care of my pest problem so after 2 tries I cancelled. Now they are saying I have to pay a disconnect fee per the agreement. I told them what I was told and all they would say is "I apologize." Clearly this is a rehearsed line that they've told others. I would have to say that this is a dishonest company. Saying what it takes to get the job and then holding you responsible for their poor work. I am a bit cautious to say the least to go with Angies again if this is whom they are recommending."

"I wish I would have checked with the BBB before engaging with them as this company has an "F" rating, when I later checked. I believe they've changed their company name several times just to keep in business as their reputation must be horrible. They ripped me off for over $2000 and did NOTHING except remove a dead rodent from under my house. Save yourself and find someone else to help you. You're welcome. At least my horrible experience might prevent you from suffering the same fate."

FAQs for rodent pest control service projects in Corona Del Mar, CA

Rodent exclusion seals every gap, vent, and crack that rodents use to sneak inside your home. Most homeowners pay an average of $200 to $600 for this add-on. By blocking entry points, you create a long-term barrier that cuts down on repeat infestations and helps protect both your family and your property.

Pros start with an inspection, then place tamper-resistant bait stations and traps in high-traffic spots. They’ll also seal entry points and clean droppings to reduce health risks. Follow-up visits confirm that the plan worked and that no new rodents have moved in. This step-by-step approach removes the current infestation and helps keep your home rodent-free going forward.

A trained pest-control pro can pinpoint hidden access points using a flashlight, thermal imaging, and plenty of crawl-space sleuthing. During an inspection, the specialist maps every gap, vent, or pipe run that rats use, then explains how to seal each one. This detailed report lets you tackle the weak spots immediately and dramatically lowers the odds of another infestation.

Rodent prevention starts with managing food and entry points. Store pantry items in airtight containers, take out trash promptly, and keep pet food sealed. Outside, trim vegetation and stack firewood away from the house. Inside, seal gaps with steel wool or hardware cloth. A tidy yard and a buttoned-up home give rats and mice few reasons—or routes—to move in.

For wall or attic nests, pros place snap traps or CO2-powered units in the exact runways rats use, then return to remove carcasses and reset as needed. Poison is risky indoors because rats may die in hidden spots, creating odors or health issues, so most technicians avoid it. Once trapping is complete, they’ll seal entry points and clean droppings to finish the job.

Plan on several weeks, especially for larger infestations. Your pro will set traps, return every few days to collect rats, and adjust placement until activity stops. Final visits include sealing access points and sanitizing affected areas. Timelines vary, but most homes are rat-free after two to four follow-ups. Prompt scheduling and good sanitation can shorten the process.
