"AM Cutts answered my request promptly. They came the same day to give me an estimate. Due to rain this company came to complete my yard work a few days later. Jeff was excellent! I mean he really knows his stuff. My yard looked like a jungle before he came. With all the rain we had the bushes just seem to grow overnight. Jeff cut them all out. He removed small trees and cleaned the yard really good! i was proud to just look at my yard! This company is excellent. I HIGHLY recommend them. You will not be disappointed. I plan to use them in the future. Thank you Jeff for a job well done! I wish I had taken before and after pictures but I didn’t. I am so pleased that it doesn’t matter. I can’t say enough good things about this company! The cost was very reasonable."

"The tree could not be saved, and Steve Davis was just great. Charged me nothing for coming out, gave me great ideas and told me how to do them. I had the tree cut down later, as their starting price would have been prohibitive for just cutting a tree down. He was just so excellent."

"After seeing the great rating on Angie's List, I called them for an estimate. A lawn care specialist called me back within 1 day and did the estimate that same day. The estimate was well written and accurately described my lawn's condition. They did not require a contract and performed the first treatment within a couple of days, leaving a flag on the lawn to let us know it was treated and an invoice at the front door. The results have been so much better than what I've tried to do myself for years. I will continue to use them."

"Great. I've been an Excel customer for years for my home power washing and deck maintenance and was in a bind because the landscaper I hired was a no show, so I gave Excel a call. The guys were timely in their arrival and completion of work. Their prices are higher than other companies I have used, but their quality of work is outstanding and well worth the difference in price."

"I contacted Nick @ Intrinity Landscaping who within a day came out to assess our yard and provide a quote. This was a new home and our yard consisted of mostly clay soil. Nick explained the process that he and his team goes through with the sod installation. Nick provided me with an estimate & I immediately took to the web to check his Angie's List & NC BBB ratings. All were positive & upon evaluating the prep work he does to the yard & the price-per-square-foot he quoted I hired Nick for the job. I couldn't be happier with Nick & his team. It was mid-August & Nick suggested that if we could we should wait until early fall to install the sod in order to avoid the late summer heat that would give our grass the best chance to grow. We agreed to wait until mid-September. As I mentioned earlier this was a new home & we were trying to get our Certificate of Occupancy so we could move in. Nick took it upon himself to spread straw on our lawn to satisfy our CO requirements so we could move in.
Nick & his crew began prepping our yard the second week of September. I was amazed by the care his crew took to get the dirt at the grade levels and 'stitching' the pallets of sod together so it all looks uniform. It took about three days to get everything done. One of those days his crew literally worked from dawn to dusk to get our backyard done. Upon completion Nick said we would need to water our yard twice a day, everyday for two weeks to get the grass to take to the soil. He finished on a Friday so the first time our inground irrigation system would run would be that Saturday. The irrigation crew, not part of Intrinity, assured me the system was ready to run. That next day some of the sprinkler heads weren't popping up the way they should and one of the heads had completely broken off leaving water gushing into the street. I couldn't get a hold of the irrigation folks but I tried Nick and he came by within the hour on Saturday. He did what he could but it meant a lot to me that he came out on a Saturday to try to address a problem that wasn't his. I've found Nick to be both honest & fair throughout the process. I don't think you'll find a better price for the quality and attention to detail that Nick & his crew observe when installing sod in your yard. Highly recommended!!

"I have been using Dave and his crew for over 10 years to maintain my landscaping and yard work. These guys are professional and detail oriented. They are one of a few companies that pull the weeds and ivy by the root and it has been one of the key reasons that I have stayed with this company throughout the years. They really know there stuff. The mulch is a quality mulch that last and gives me a great curb appeal. My yard has won yard of the month several times! I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy, and professional landscaping."

"I paid $125 for 450 sq ft of mulch and 100 ft of edging.  They called me well over 6 times in the beginning to get the work done, but I informed them that I was having a fence installed and wanted to wait until that work was done before the landscaping work.  Then when I was ready for them, it took me 3-4 calls to get it set up for them to come out.  The area they mulched was less than 450 sq ft - more like 375 sq ft.  The edging job was okay, but I had some tree roots in the path and could not be edged easily.  I paid an additional $125 to have another area edged - about 60 feet and they moved some small landscaping edging blocks to my back yard.  I would have expected them to provide more mulch and asked them about it, but was told it would be an additional charge.  I finished the rest of the mulching myself.  The dark brown mulch they provided looked good at first, but then quickly got a grayish look to it.  Looks like it needs to be turned over on a regular basis to maintain the dark brown look.  I think I will use the 12-month mulch you can buy for $3/bag and coat the surface with the long lasting colored mulch."

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in Cramerton, NC

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
