When fence was built, I asked for a rot board on the bottom rail (1x6), the extra price of the wood was included in the bid...They forgot the rot board and pickets go all the way to ground, we spoke of a DISCOUNT on the next job or rebate...never happened..

Owner of company took measurements for new sliding glass door...the measurements were wrong...Home DEPOT was kind enough NOT to charge me a restock fee.

When the new door came in weeks later, they didn't return our calls.  The rest of the work was complete and they were paid.

It was only a couple hundred bucks...we gave up...

I was going to call them when the door sliding glass door arrived for install...my wife said NO...

We hired someone else rather than give MCS another dime...

No...I would not utilize this company for anything other than PAINT and ROOF...

"The deck building went well I think. It took 2 days for Blake and his work partner to complete the deck. They worked pretty fast; came in the morning and worked until about 4:30 or so. I liked the building materials that they used; seem to be very good quality. I did misunderstand however, how the steps would be finished, as Blake said he had quoted me a basic deck model which would not include a board on the front of each step, but the steps would rather remain open. I said that I had not understood that he was only quoting me a basic model, and I did want the steps to look more finished. So Blake got right on it and said that he would add boards to the front of each step, and he was not going to charge me for the labor; only the materials. I insisted on paying him something for the labor however, since he completed the steps the way that I wanted them later that same day. The end result is that I am very happy with my deck. Blake worked very hard to earn my business and was willing to match a little lower quote that I had received from another company. He actually called me a number of times before I decided to go with Maxey Construction, in an effort to earn my business. I would definitely use his company again for some future projects that I have inside of my home."

"Those people were great. I knew them by their names because I knew them. They were actually recommended to me by the company I hired to add insulation to my attic. They told me about these 2 guys that had the business. I told them that I re-caulked my house every 2 or 3 years and they mentioned these guys to me. I called them and they came out; it was a father and son. I went around with them and they showed me what I have been doing wrong. It was roughly half of their retail price I paid. It was a big deal purchase. They had a special on the window sills; the normal caulking around the windows. The people I bought the house from had a glazing company come in and replace some of the windows with the wrong thickness of dual pane glass. The aluminum frame was made for one-half inch think dual pane windows. It was ready made in the factory. They put in three-eighths so I had an eighth of an inch gap about 4 of my windows. The seal had been compromised and there was fog inside the windows. I had the previous owner fix all that but he did it with the wrong glasses. Rhino Energy Solutions showed me that problem. Then I had him go in with a life time silicone caulk which is different than the normal caulking they use. He did the best fix he could do; it was short of replacing the window for all of the ones that was installed wrong. Two of them are in the living room. My wife and I immediately noticed that the amount of cold air blowing in from the north windows was reduced by them doing that. I had no idea that I even had that leak around the window. It takes somebody who knows glasses to see that there was an error over there. They did this in the same week I went from a 9 to a 39 R rating in my attic. It wasn’t possible to figure out how much I saved on my electric bill because of the caulking. I could feel the difference in the house. I went around with the father and the son and watched them do everything they did. They were pretty careful. This craftsman was willing to teach me part of his trade. I have been caulking my home myself since I bought it. He showed me how important it was to dig out the old caulk. He told me putting new caulk over old caulk doesn’t really work; it may be aesthetic. Their responsiveness was excellent. They showed up when they said they would be here."
