"Sometime in November 2013, unbeknownst to me, a water pipe leak occurred under the foundation of my house. It was only brought to my attention when I got a huge sewer and water bill totaling almost $1000 in late December. I called Greenwell Plumbing and they came out within a few days to look at the problem. They apologized for me having to wait a few days, but this was when this area was experiencing very cold temperatures and pipes were freezing and bursting and the plumbing companies were swamped with people calling about flooding homes. I understood this completely. When they came to the house they spent quite some time trying to locate the leak and finally suggested that I call the American Leak Detection Company.which I did. For anyone who has an underground (under the foundation) leak, this company is a Godsend. This company came the very next day and Greenwell was here to meet them. Within 20 minutes of being in the house, the leak detection company had located the leak in the kitchen. Greenwell immediately started jack hammering through the ceramic tile floor and into the foundation. We soon heard the gushing of the water from the leak. This was quite a large leak as my December water bill had said that I had used over 50,000 gallons of water in one month!!! After fixing the leak by replacing the pipe, and then pouring concrete into the hole to fill it up, they cleaned up the mess and left. Throughout the entire process they answered any questions I had and apologized for having to mess up my kitchen floor, which I had just had installed a few months before. The plumbers were friendly, polite and professional. "We live in Meridian-Kessler and watched two neighbors on our block endure the inconvenience and stress of sewer line collapses and back-ups into their basements.  In order to prevent the same fate for us, we decided to be proactive and have our sewer line redone before we had any problems.  The gentlemen at SLB were amazing -- they were incredibly responsive to our questions, our schedules, and our concerns.  They were able to dig a small hole (approximately 3 x 4 feet) in the concrete basement floor and they cleaned and relined the sewer line from that access point (they even rolled up our carpet and moved our basement furniture for us!).  The job took two days (each about 1/2 day) with no interruption to our home life (all work was completed while we were at work).  We now have a re-lined sewer line with a 50 year guarantee with no mess, no damage to our yard or landscaping, and all at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. "I experienced a sewer back-up.  MSD inspected and suggested that roots had infiltrated my sewer pipe.  This turned out not to be the case.  MSD used a manual snaking device with a "pigtail" head on it to clear out the blockage.  However, this device wound up pushing a host of refuse together and caused a worse clog and more sewage to back up into my basement. <br /> After asking a number of relevant questions before arriving, the plumber brought with him the hydraulic snake with a shredder head.  He ran it all the way through the line, then had me run and flush as much water as possible to ensure the blockage was gone.  He snaked again and had me run more water into the line until he observed it running clear. <br /> He was, as always, polite and communicative about absolutely everything.  I appreciate when the service provider explains everything to me in a comprehensible way, which is one reason I recommend Pride Plumbing."
