"All Colorado Radon tackled a particularly difficult radon mitigation that other companies refused to mitigate. They were very thorough and knowledgeable. Most of all, they were successful in reducing radon levels to well below government standards. We would use them again."

"We were amazed and absolutely thrilled with the work done by Ace Radon. After I called, they set up a time to come out and see what was involved. The estimate was emailed later that same day. When we approved, they scheduled a time to do the mitigation. Both times men were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and neat. They explained what they were doing and answered all our questions. The before radon tested 7.6, and afterwards tested .7 Needless to say, we'd highly recommend them!"

"I've hired numerous home inspectors over the years. After moving to Colorado, I had to find a new inspector for the home we're purchasing in Colorado Springs. I found Lance online, and the entire experience was awesome. <br /> Lance showed up a few minutes early and was well underway when I arrived at the house. We had a bit of an odd situation on our hands, as the current homeowner was there, which hindered our ability to have frank conversations about his findings. We were able to work around that situation (Lance was very professional with everyone involved) and Lance found some issues we will have addressed by the current homeowner. <br /> When the inspection was complete, Lance printed out a full report and put it in a binder for me. He also included some extras such as a home maintenance checklist and record book. I was blown away, since in the past I've only had inspectors email me their reports. It was helpful to have the binder for reference when we were discussing the options regarding the home contract. <br /> Lance was awesome, if I ever have a need for a home inspection again in the future, I will call Lance in a heartbeat. <br />"

"Had an awesome experience with these guys. We had to do both radon mitigation and sump pump installation. I called 5-10 different places to get quotes, they were the most affordable by a decent margin. Kratos was really great- he was on time, very friendly, wasn't annoyed by our dogs constantly being at his side, etc. He finished the job very quickly and gave great education on how the system works and what we should be looking for to ensure it's functioning well. Additionally, he randomly fixed an electrical issue we were having with some outlets! Totally not his job, but I asked him if he knew a good electrician and by doing some basic trouble-shooting he was able to fix it and save us the cost of having an electrician come by! Highly recommend these guys, no reservations whatsoever"

"Thorough and detailed inspection, well documented with photos and videos of the various items of defects and areas needing attention.  The inspector's services were a good value for the money.   The inspector and report exceeded my expectations, with the only exception being that I paid an extra $100 for a well water quality report which turned out to be only a test for the presence of bacteria instead of a thorough analysis for heavy metal or other chemicals in the water like I expected."

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Cripple Creek, CO

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
