He carefully and diligently removed and replaced the old vinyl, glue and strips, He put cording on the step sides to cover a gap between the step and wall - finished product looks beautiful! He also secured a bathroom vanity prior to replacing the caulk.. He ordered and replaced stripped window cranks. Overall, Oscar was very professional, attended to detail and kept me informed throughout the project. Excellent work!"

He and his crew showed up right on time for both the initial quote and installation; answered all of our questions thoroughly and respectfully; installed the unit quickly and left a clean work area; wore masks for the entire process; and never tried to upsell us to things we didn't need. (A different business in the area quoted us a MUCH higher price for the same model and install work.) One thing that I would like to highlight as woman is that they treated both my husband and me equally, and we both felt respected and included in the conversation. "We contracted with AO handy after purchasing an Angie's List special for a masonry inspection.  AO Handy was the only mason that responded to a request for an estimate for the work.  Decayed wood had to be removed from the front picture window as well as affected 2x4 framing and flooring that had become moldy after becoming wet from a leaking window.  Before this could be replaced, a masonry wall had to be removed and then replaced after the wood was repaired.  Scott, the carpenter, was very helpful and diligent in his work, and did his best to get all the bad wood removed and replaced with new material.  He did his best to reseal the window so that it would not leak again.  Andy, the mason, did a good job of matching the new and old mortar in the wall and also to seal up the wall area against water leakage.  Although the work was not inexpensive, it appeared to me that many masons charge a lot for their services, and don't seem to be very interested in customer service.  Andy and Scott were different and did try to do their best on my job.  I would recommend them, but don't expect the lowest price for a mason's services.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
