"Reliable Building Services were very professional and courteous when it came to our home addition. They took their time to make sure everything was done correctly and went out of their way to fix prior mistakes from other contractors. The owner David was just a phone call away and although a busy man, would be able to meet with us within an hour. We are very pleased with the work they have done and would hire them for all of our building needs."

"<strong>FIRST</strong> of all chose a PROFESSIONAL like Bob's Home Repair. <br /> (not everyone in the business is a professional) <br /> <strong>NEXT</strong> tell Bob what the object of the project is  <br /> <strong>THEN</strong> let Bob suggest his best professional options. <br /> <br /> When Bob and his helpers finished the JOB and the JOB SITE my entire area was CLEAN & CLEAR of any and all scraps."

"It went fabulous. I found him in the phone book and called and had him give me a ball park figure for a 6' vanity. When he told me the estimate, I made an appointment and went to look at his shop. I was very impressed and told him to go ahead with the vanity.  I also had him repair a cherry hall table that had the finished damaged. They came this April 23 to install it. I cannot tell you how impressed we are with the workmanship. It is gorgeous. The installation went smoothly, The vanity looks great. It is solid maple and maple plywood all made in America, very heavy and well made. We had looked online and similar vanities made with foreign materials, MDF and particle board and synthetic materials. They were about twice as much as what we paid. The finish on the hall table that he repaired looks better than it did originally. <br /> I can't say enough good things about this business. And on top of everything else, they are really nice people. <br /> We will be remodeling our kitchen within the next year and he will be making our kitchen cabinets. <br />"

"Gene worked with us to design the tub surround and bench, to pick out the tub style and manufacturer, faucet, and his wife even met us and the tile store to help us pick out the tile with appreciated suggestions. During this process, Gene always phoned and kept appointments as scheduled. Once all the parts had been delivered to our house, Gene and his helper Jeremy promptly started the installation job and completed it on schedule and on budget in 5 days. During the first couple of days Gene asked my wife and I for our opinions to insure that the framing work was being constructed as we envisioned. The job turned out beautifully, and we are very happy."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Crossville, TN

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
