"I hired Edgar’s Appliance Service to repair my Jenn Air refrigerator. I had initially hired Sears to assess the situation but did not trust the repairman’s close to $1500 (parts and labor) recommendation. Edgar was prompt, professional, and, most importantly, honest. He explained what he thought the problem was and said that if he could not fix it, he would only charge the fee for the visit. If he could fix it then he would do so at a very reasonable price. Although he got my refrigerator to work, he was very honest and told me that my refrigerator had about another year to go and it didn’t make sense to spend $1500 on a compressor and labor when I could use that money towards a new refrigerator. He even went so far as to call a friend who had a similar refrigerator and asked about the cost. I give my enthusiastic recommendation for this business and will use Edgar for any future appliance repairs."

"Edgar was quick to respond and schedule an appointment. He did not diagnose the issue properly. Without bothering to check in detail, he just claimed my dishwasher was damaged due to mice activity and I should replace my expensive dishwasher as the board is damaged. I got skeptical as none of the wiring and insulation looked damaged. The dishwasher was less than 2 years old and expensive. I called another company for second opinion and they correctly diagnosed the issue as some problems with the circulation pump due to filters not being cleaned for a long time. Laziness of Edgar would have made me unnecessarily throw away my expensive dishwasher. When I told him he asked for proof which I sent him but he did not refund 80$ he charged for lousy service. I would never hire again."
