"Estimator was poor. Took 5 revisions. He did not listen, he just submitted what he thought I should do. His words to me were I know how to do this job, I will do it my way or I will not do the job. The office manager, Denise is good she listened to my changes and worked with me to get what I wanted. The work crew was also great. My walkways and patio are just the way I wanted them. The Broom &Shine finish is perfect and looks great. Over all I rate Heavy Duty Concrete, with 4 stars. I would hire them again."

"Overall the job took the better part of a week and from our perspective was a success.  Ryan worked with us in selecting
the right color for the stain.  He carefully removed and replaced the numerous potted plants we had on the deck and left
the work area in a clean condition.  The patio and balcony look great and our only regret is that we didn't do it earlier."

"The entire project went very well.  I highly recommend their services.  They responded quickly to my emergency call and questions.  The office girls were extremely friendly and helpful as well as the workers in my home.  Everyone, including the sub contractors were polite and professional. The whole process of restoring my home was much easier and quicker than I expected.

"Ryan was always on-time, super responsive, and took on projects that my previous contractor could not do. It's like I've stepped back in time where people take pride in their work. I'm super happy with Mannco and their work is fantastic. I'll definitely be using them again in the future."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Crystal-bay, NV

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
