"Jake was super responsive and was the only contractor who was timely and courteous with his communication. His crew did great work repairing my roof in one day. He was clear and fair with his estimate so there were no unexpected costs when payment was due. I highly recommend Jake and his team."

"Colonial Restorations was superb.   Our family very much enjoyed working with Brad Green and Tom Green.

At the outset, they made thorough assessments of our family's barn, identifying several problem areas and offering multiple proposals for how best to address each (including strategies and estimates).  They walked through the different proposals with us, addressing all questions and discussing different options.  This was extremely constructive and important to the process.

They demonstrated very clear understanding of post-and-beam wood construction.  They displayed great expertise in working with wood (white oak, red oak, hemlock) and with the tools, jacks and cribbing needed for this work.  They worked carefully, always putting in place the necessary jacks and cribbing in advance of each phase of this project.

They were clear about their schedule and were very responsible about communicating with us.  If there were a day that they would not be on site, they let us know ahead of time.  With the exception of a snow storm and an illness, they were on site five days a week from the first week in January till the second week in February, 2016.

By the completion of this project, Colonial Restorations had made significant and important structural repairs to our barn.  This work was done with care, craft, accuracy, and to code.  (All elements of this project were examined and passed by the building inspector.)  Most important, these repairs respected and worked with the existing structure and materials of the barn.

We could not be happier with these repairs or with the work done by Colonial Restorations.  It was a pleasure working with Brad and Tom."

"These guys are the greatest! They saved us a lot of money! We had a dumpster before the bullbag and for 3 tons of material and a week rental of the dumpster it cost us $486! We own the bullbag now, had a full bag - 3.5 tons - picked up and it was only $229! We didn't have any rental charges, excess weight fees, or anything! These guys did everything they said they would! OMG! Everyone should use these guys!!!!! Also, I got the bullbag back! I never have to buy another one and its ready to use whenever I feel like doing a clean out or renovation."

"The three projects Sola-R took on this fall were all done quickly, thoroughly, and affordably. All three involved structures over 150 years old, the renovations of which always demand more innovativeness and flexibility than newer buildings generally require. Also, two buildings involved had families living in them, the schedules and comings and goings of which this contractor adjusted to very well. Moreover, Sola-R accommodated his schedule and methods to the occasional limits of construction materials availability and health and safety precautions related to the COVID pandemic. I refer friends and neighbors to this contractor regularly."

"They were excellent. they cleaned up very well, nothing was left in my property. They are just excellent."

"We hired Rattigan and Sons to complete a roof repair. The team was prompt with their service and very professional. They went above and beyond to provide full explanation of the project, recommendations and solutions."
