"Thomas Irrigation was exceptional from first meeting through services performed. We had received several quotes. We chose Thomas irrigation. All of the men were professional and courteous. They left the property spotless at the end of each day. We ended up having to have a few sprinkler heads readjusted. Thomas was extremely responsive in doing so. We will continue to use for start-up and closing of system each season. Highly recommend."

"The lawn looks fantastic. We are going on year 3 of using this business. Our lawn looked significantly more green and barely any weeds in year 2 after using this company. First year went good as well but we and the neighbors could really tell how using this service throughout the entire summer and spring/fall creates a beautiful lawn in year 2. If I had one complaint, it is not getting a heads up when they will be coming out to make sure we have the lawn mowed and to move things out of the grass. Would recommend."

"Went ok, price was high for work performed. They missed several leaks that I had to call another company to later come fix. The heads that they replaced were spray heads on the side of the house. The new heads were too powerful (they sprayed all of the 3' mulch bed past the grass + a foot or two up onto the house. Old heads had a similar issue. This year I researched myself and replaced the head with one more appropriate for the area, which has minimal overspray past the grass."

"The design and the installation were spectacular. Communication and support after installation were severely lacking. A few weeks before installation, I was informed that another person, Chad, would be taking over for Jeff. A couple of days before installation, Chad told me he "would be there to get them started," but then his foreman, Ray, would be taking over for him; and Chad would move on to another job. I didn't meet Chad until the day of installation. Ray seemed like a very pleasant fellow, but communication with him was difficult, because he spoke little English. He tended to respond to my questions and comments with a shrug. The two men working with him spoke no English. Chad never came back to check the finished installation. During the second day of installation, I called Chad and requested the plant tags that usually come with new plants. He told me that he "wasn't going to go rummaging through the dump to find them!" After the installation was complete, I called Chad to ask for a watering demonstration. He heatedly told me that "you know how to water a garden!" He told me that each plant has different watering needs -- but I didn't have the tags that describe each plant and its needs. When Ray planted the mountain laurel, I noticed that it had a lot of yellow leaves -- which immediately started dropping. The day after installation, I emailed a picture to Jeff Griff -- who told me "not to send him any more pictures." (This was the only one I sent.) Another plant quickly died, but I didn't even mention it to them, as it seemed pointless. After spending so much money, I expected a little more support."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Cuyahoga Falls, OH

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
