"This contractor was assigned by American Home Shield to address my washing machine shaking during the spin cycle. Donny with Lake Area Appliance Service came out and informed me that this is a common issue that happens over time due to normal wear and tear. He said (word for word) that the tub had become unbalanced due to it warping from years of use and that once that happens, it just gets worse and worse from the weight of any clothes being added. I have this conversation recorded for 3 reasons. The first is that I had a very uncomfortable interaction with another contractor AHS sent out for a completely separate issue and I was home alone. The second is because I read reviews for this contractor before they showed up and not a single review was positive. Just about all of them reported them lying about the true issue, causing AHS to deny the claim and I was nervous I would be another victim of this (and unfortunately, I was). I even expressed this concern to AHS and asked for a different contractor and they said this one was the only one in the area… in Dallas, TX… sure. The third reason was because I’m not as mechanically knowledgeable as my husband and knew it’d be easier to just play back the recording vs attempting to repeat what the contractor said. All that to say, I have this man recorded telling me the complete opposite of what he told AHS. He told them that it was not normal wear and tear (my washer is over 10 years old) and that it was unbalanced due to overloading it (it’s just me and my husband and we barely fill it halfway each wash). When AHS called them to confirm my allegations, Rhonda hung up on them. This company is disgraceful, dishonest, and I truly don’t even understand what they have to gain from this. I’ve begun the steps in taking this “business” to small claims court as this is absolutely unacceptable and it’s clear they do this all the time. Thankfully I have concrete proof to back my claims."

The paint selection represented a significant color change and while other contractors were quoting one coat, Willard convinced me two were needed and he was right. "Darren remodeled my home 2 years ago. I was very pleased when it was complete. It looked beautiful. He said it would take 4 - 6 weeks and it took 6 weeks. It ended up costing more because of things they uncovered (I think about $11K?). The craftsmanship has not withstood the test of time. 1) My wood floors keep bowing up - he came back out and fixed them once but won't return my texts now. 2) There is a section on lighting in my house that won't turn on. Again, he had someone come out and fix this once but won't return my messages now. 3) The fixtures in the bathroom are loose. I have a small ranch home and he almost completely remodeled it. While he did a good job in most places, it looks like I am going to have to replace my flooring which is throughout the entire house. Now I am going to have to have an electrician come out and get the lighting right and I am not sure exactly what to do about the loose fixtures but I am sure I will figure that out as well. Very poor service after the sale and craftsmanship does not stand the test of time."

No problem! We can handle slow drains, clogged drains, backed-up drains, anything that you may need. A lot of times you have no idea that may have happened, which is fine because it is something that you cannot prevent. But it is something that you can handle, or may I say us. Most of the time is maybe because of the weather, which is something you definitely cannot prevent.

"I had my kitchen cabinets fabricated and installed by this company end of July and am extremely disappointed in the quality. It’s not worth the 40k I paid and does not match the pictures of the owner’s portfolio. 1. The seems/edges of my matte black cabinets have noticeable white-ish edges. When Kuba-Tech installer was installing the cabinets the installer assured me it would come off before they left yet it was not taken care of. This is not the quality I was shown by the owner of his sample. 2. They took incorrect measurements and cut my cabinets around oven incorrectly causing my oven to stick out and not be flush. This also caused the bottom drawer under my oven to not be able to open the easily. 3. They left a big gap on top of my dishwasher. Once again because they took wrong measurements of my appliances. 4. I told the owner exactly the size of my trashcan during the personal consultation with him and told him I needed the drawer to fit two of the trash cans. I was once again given the wrong measurements for that and my trash cans do not fit. 5. Many of the screws are coming out from their boxes. I was told this was high quality material from German but seems more like IKEA cabinet quality in my opinion. How can screws come out of their boxes only after a couple months from barely any use? 6. The worst part of it when I tried to talk to the owner about discrepancies, he totally brushed it off and would help me. He told me to take it up with my contractor who referred him. I paid Kuba-Tech. I had my agreement directly with their company and two in person consultations with their company. To whoever is reading this review, I can say without reservation I would not recommend this company at all. I understand mistakes can happen during contracting and construction, but it is completely unacceptable to not care about your clients and make things right after they pay your company. UPDATE: The owner eventually sent someone out to supposedly “fix” the issues, particularly the visible white seams, but they only made things worse. They used alcohol to rub the edges, insisting that the white seams were just glue. However, it wasn’t glue at all—and the rubbing alcohol removed the black finish, further damaging my cabinets."
