We had odd shaped walls but they handled this professionally. Mike the installer was professional, but he did a quality job, he also run into a little plumbing problems, so I had to get my own plumber there to help them out, otherwise everything was good. I am happy so far, it is been 2 weeks of using my new shower and so far so good, very easy cleanup, just wipe down which I Love!!"

The area most needing attention was on the third floor and was 30 feet up or more. They began work on Monday and did three gables, the soffits and trim, and the windows. "David gave me what I thought was a fair price for the work to be done. He asked for 1/2 up front. As a previous small business owner I did not feel this was unreasonable so I paid him 500.00. He estimated the work would take 3 to four days and I thought the same. After several no shows the "mason" showed up. The first clue was he came in a car. According to my wife he was here 2 hours and left, came back for another 2 hours the next day and left again. He said nothing to my wife about leaving or when he would be back. David called a day later to ask about coming out to look over the job and get the rest of the other 500.00. I said he isn't finished and he's only been here 4 hours. So then I looked up the prevailing wage in IL for a mason and found out it is 28.50 an hour. The next day the guy comes back for another 3 hours. David came to look at the work and I walked him around and showed him all of the places that had not been done. So the guy comes back again for about an hour. All told it was 8 hours work, nothing to write home about but it was agreed up front that I wasn't looking for an exposed brick look. I need it tuck pointed well enough so that I could drylock and paint the exposed brick. I will say this was done in the end. The worker left a mess that I and my wife had to clean up, I pointed this out to David as well. I told him I felt he was overly paid for the amount of work preformed and that was the end of it. It's really to bad. It's difficult to get contractors to do small jobs and I had plenty for him to do. I'm not unhappy, just would not hire again"

"Great, rough start to the one bathroom but once it was completed, my grandkids loved it. When other so no to a shower in my small bathroom, Cole said yes and gave me the shower I have always wanted. OMG, I love my kitchen!!!. He removed the one part that I didn't like and gave me a kitchen that let me look out the window and watch the grandkids while doing dishes. "I walked into my basement on Saturday afternoon to discover a pool of water on the floor.  Looking at the walls I traced it back to right above the window that sits below my kitchen sink.  I popped the paneling off the top of the window box and immediately saw that the galvanized pipe leading from the sink drain to the stack had corroded and a hole had formed.  Frantic because it was 4pm on a Saturday and I knew I couldn't use my kitchen sink or dishwasher until I got this fixed (no easy task with two toddlers to keep up with), I jumped onto Angie's List looking for a plumber with Saturday hours and a good rating. 
I called McDonagh and was told they could have someone at my place in an hour.  Todd showed up at 5:30 and immediately got to work.  Patrick (the owner) showed up with his son Nolan shortly thereafter to take a look and get Todd some parts off of his truck.  We gave Nolan a piece of the pizza my kids were having for dinner as an apology for interrupting his Saturday too.  Patrick came back with a price estimate that seemed fair to me for emergency short-notice service on a Saturday night.  Todd replaced the entire section of pipe from the sink drain to the stack and was finished and out the door by 7:30, leaving us with a fully functional kitchen again. 
Huge thanks to Patrick and Todd (and Nolan) who really saved the day for us.  These guys are absolute professionals and really saved us from some major inconvenience.  Would absolutely recommend and use them again.
