Founded in 1989 by Dean Henninger, D.W. Henninger Construction has been recognized as a leading builder of custom homes and remodeling projects. Acting as a General Contractor, the entire Henninger team is known to exceed client expectations, leading to a steady stream of testimonials and referral clients.\n\nOver the past two decades, Henninger has managed projects in California: kitchens, bathrooms, room additions, entire home renovation, even complete construction of homes. Regardless of scope, Henninger approaches each project with the same foundation of principals: strong design aesthetics, comprehensive product options, sound project management, and a commitment to craftsmanship.\n\nDesign Aesthetics: With 20+ years of Bay Area experience, Henninger understands the many architectural quirks unique to Bay Area communities, making it easy to elaborate and integrate with established design aesthetics.\nProduct Options: Henninger is truly unique in being a single-source stop for design, remodeling, and product resources. Cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and plumbing fixtures are all available options for your project, and Henninger assists with selection, delivery, even vendor communication if there’s a problem.\nProject Management: Project management is essential to delivering a good customer experience. Henninger prioritizes project management to the same degree as design and crafting. Henninger is unique in using progress billing — a system that only charges for services following completion rather than pre-paying weeks or months before it starts.\nCraftsmanship: Henninger’s team of carpenters bring the best combination of experience and expertise to the table, but they offer much more than technical proficiency — by working with true craftsmen, Henninger projects balance design and functionality for maximum results on each and every project, regardless of scope.\nOur service areas: Oakland, Pleasanton, Livermore, Walnut Creek, Fremont, and surrounding cities. Projects in San Francisco and San Jose are also feasible — contact us for more information.

"NWP installed a new furnace in my home, for which they overcharged me by $3,379, based on the contract they wrote. The job was "completed" in early October, when they demanded the final payment. I asked if they had received approval on the final inspection for the permit, and they assured me they had. In February, while at the Permit Office in Vallejo, I was informed that I still had an open permit with them, that they had not had the final inspection. That permit will soon expire, if it has not already. By that time, one of the ducts they had installed had fallen down and torn; the wires leading to the thermostat had also fallen down across the door. I called and asked them to come out to fix, and to schedule the final inspection. They never showed. When I called to ask where they were, they rescheduled. At that later date, they sent out a technician to survey the problems; he promised he would return the following Thursday to fix them, and would schedule the inspection for Friday morning. None of these things occurred. I texted him and received no reply. So, at this point I have a working furnace, drooping and torn ducts, falling wires, no final inspection, and am missing one register because it was taken to match the size by the technician. I am moving to file a complaint with the Contractors State License Board. I would recommend you find someone else for the job. P.S. Just discovered that their license has been suspended by the CSLB for failure to post a bond."

"My wife and I worked with Joe to renovate our home in the South Bay. We basically tore everything down to the studs and did some reconfiguring of the interior, as well as redoing all plumbing and electrical. With Joe and his team, we transformed a home that hasn’t been renovated since the 60’s to the home of our dreams. We were referred to Joe by a trusted friend, and after a phone call with an overview of what our plans were, we met Joe in person at our home for an initial walkthrough. Both my wife and I were impressed with how thorough he was with details regarding the renovation; it was immediately obvious he was a master of his craft, with a vast amount of experience and knowledge in construction. More importantly, he’s down to earth and honest; his transparency was very much appreciated. Joe and his crew take pride in their work. He’d go above and beyond by suggesting certain looks or practical modifications to our original request; it often felt like he was renovating for himself! For the project, he provided a clearly marked timeline and walked us through all the options for both finished and unfinished materials. His encyclopedic knowledge of stores in the Bay Area saved us a lot of money, and we got exactly what we wanted to build our home with! Home renovation is never a easily forecasted task; there are many surprises or issues that come up. With Joe, we knew we were in good hands. When a challenge did come up, he made sure to explain the options to us and address it immediately. Communication is key in this process, and Joe excels at it - he’s very responsive by phone and text. His crew is polite and also share Joe’s willingness to educate and explain the process. All in all, we felt that Joe became a family friend in the construction business and have recommended him to multiple friends and family. If you are looking for top quality work, reasonable pricing, and a trustworthy expert, look no further than Joe Arielli and his team!"

FAQs for steam shower installation projects in Daly City, CA

A steam shower is a regular shower stall outfitted with a steam generator. Push a button, and the generator heats water to create soothing steam, and you’ve got an instant spa at about 110°F. Because it doubles as a standard shower, you don’t need extra square footage—just the right plumbing, a sealed enclosure, and proper ventilation.

Expect to spend roughly $0.50 to $1 on water and electricity for a 20- to 30-minute steam session. Actual costs depend on your local utility rates, but most homeowners find that the increase on their monthly bill is modest, even with regular use. To keep ongoing costs down, look for an energy-efficient generator and ensure your shower is properly sealed to prevent heat loss.

Flush the generator regularly to remove mineral buildup and maintain a steady steam flow. Most models have a drain valve or button—hit it after each session or as the manufacturer recommends. Skipping this essential maintenance step can trigger safety shut-offs or shorten the lifespan of your steam shower.

It’s not uncommon for homeowners to discover mold in their steam showers. Steam equals humidity, and humidity invites mold. Run the bathroom fan during and after each session, crack the door to allow air circulation, and wipe down the walls frequently. If you spot mold, spray undiluted white vinegar, wait an hour, then scrub—it’s an easy, chemical-free fix.
