"When I called Action Appliance Repair, Sue (the office manager/dispatcher) arranged for her repair team (Mark and Mark, father and son) to come to the house later the same day. They identified two problems, repaired one immediately, and ordered a part which they returned and installed three days later. In the interim, they placed a portable fan at the the rear of the refrigerator so as to allow it to function until the new part (fan motor) arrived. Due to their efforts, I was able to keep a refrigerator that has sentimental value and would have been disruptive and expensive to replace. I could not be more pleased with the service they provided, and for this I thank Sue, Mark Sr. and Mark Jr. They really went above and beyond. "GE French door refrigerator with bottom freezer. Freezer is working fine, but the refrigerator temperature was hovering at dangerous temp (between 50-60 degrees F). After YouTube research, I was convinced that I had an evaporator system malfunction. I contacted Nick @ A-1 Certified Appliance Repair for a diagnosis. We spent 15 min talking about the fridge problem, and what he recommended was to defrost the fridge and freezer for 48 hours because the drain line was probably plugged with ice and not draining properly. Since he has been in the refrigerator repair business for over 30 years, he had seen all the issues. Fast forward one week later when I finally had the time to defrost the fridge & freezer for 48 hours. The fridge is now working well for the past 3 days with the temp hovering between 32-38 degrees F. Nick knows his stuff, and I applaud him for his no-B.S. and honest diagnosis for just a service fee visit! His recommendation saved me $400 + if I had him install a new evaporator system. Unlike other service industries which uses unethical scare tactics to sell unassuming consumers unneeded and useless service, I so appreciate Nick's honesty and work ethic to recommend a cheaper solution rather than recommending a new evaporator system as I initially mentioned. I even appreciate his mentioning that if the defrosting did not quickly solve my problem, then I can call him to schedule a follow-up visit where he would dismantle the rear of the fridge to fully diagnose the problem. In his 30-years' experience, he said that 9 out of 10 times, my issue would be solved with defrosting. Nick does more than just fridge repair (i.e. washer, dryer, oven, dishwasher, stove, just to name a few). I will definitely use him for future appliance repairs, and he is a local chap in the Huntington Beach area."
