"Ronal works with his little brother, wife, and another bud. All are very nice and respectful of your home. We had a custom shower install 10 yrs ago, but after excessive use by the whole family (4 of us every day...) and a still-settling house, it developed a leak in the lower shower corner. We only needed the lower 18" of tile wall to be replaced (it's still available), a new shower pan and floor, structure inspected and repaired if needed, and we added a new bathroom floor and toilet to the job. No plumbing, electrical, or cabinetry were needed as it was all still kinda fancy and in great shape. Ronal was the only response out of about 10 from Angi's list that would agree to do this partial bathroom repair/remodel. ALL THE OTHERS offering estimates demanded to do a full gut and replacement. His attention to detail is excellent, and the grout colors and gaps match perfectly. We are having him back for our downstairs bathroom and are recommending him to any others needed tile-based home improvement. 10 out of 5 stars!"

"Precision was recommended to my wife and I when we began thinking about a bathroom remodel. They were prompt and professional on day one for the consultation and after meeting with other contractors, we moved forward with Precision. As we selected our fixtures, tile, granite and glass, the business owners endorsed Precision which made us feel even better about our decision. The team was reliable, highly skilled and ultimately concerned with customer satisfaction and it's obvious they stand behind their work. Our bathroom is beautiful. and I’d highly recommend Precision Remodeling."

"This company is wonderful. The project manager, Jason, and his crew were amazing. They turned a tiny bathroom and tiny room into a large, gorgeous, elegant bathroom. I used this company for two other bathroom remodels. Be sure you get Jason if you want a professional and efficient team."

"Gary and the entire Perryhall Remodeling team are professional, fair, knowledgeable and courteous.   <br /> To give you the backstory on our house, it was built in 1903 and many renovations were done by the previous owner who bought the house as a handyman special, renovated it, and then flipped it.  We bought the house not knowing that  many renovations were not done to code or any set of building standards.  Our kitchen at one time was a two car garage that was added to the back of the house, which sits on a slab and touches the driveway on one side.  From the driveway, you can see where the existing garage door used to be from the outline in the stucco. <br /> My husband and I had a very unique situation where we noticed water damage to our hardwood floors in the kitchen; however, we couldn?t find the source of the water (although we suspected that it must be coming in from the driveway where the old garage door used to be).  After eliminating leaky appliances and plumbing with our handyman, we contacted several contractors (some of which were very highly ranked on Angie?s List).  Most of the contractors who came to the house didn?t feel comfortable bidding the job since there were so many unknowns.  We got a few quotes with ?best case/worst case? estimates that were so broad (up to 20k), we didn't feel comfortable moving forward (one contractor wanted to charge us 4k to remove our cabinets, counter top, and sink just to access the back wall to do some investigating).   <br /> Unlike the other contractors, Gary wanted to find the root of the problem before arbitrarily throwing out a dollar figure.  To save us money, he suggested that our handyman remove a cabinet and cut a hole in the Sheetrock behind it and then he would come back after a rainy day to investigate whether water was getting in through the wall, where the driveway met the kitchen.  I was impressed by how contentious and considerate Gary was from the beginning.  Gary came to the house the second time to look in the wall and could not find any water.  A day or two after Gary was there, our waterline to the ice maker burst and water was spraying all of the floor.  I called Gary to ask if that could be the source and he said it was highly possible, especially if the water was leaking over time.   <br /> After the ice maker was fixed, I noticed the floor was continuing to get worse, eliminating our theory that it was the source of the problem.  So, I called Gary again and he came out a third time and agreed that the floor had gotten increasingly worse.  He came back a few days later with his brother (Tim), and Joe.  The three of them put their heads together and Joe decided he wanted to see behind the cabinets again, despite not finding any trace of moisture the first time.  The next day, Joe and Gary came back to the house, removed the cabinet and dug down to access the lowest point to the ground.  Joe went outside and directed the garden hose at the spot where he suspected the water to enter and sure enough, from inside the house, he could see that water was pouring in below the cabinets.  It turned out that the exterior wall that was built to fill in the old garage door was laid directly on top of the asphalt driveway (a porous surface)!!!!   <br /> After MONTHS of eliminating different theories, Gary and his crew identified the problem!!!    Keep in mind, that Gary had made five (yes, FIVE) visits to my house and had not charged me a cent!  (I would have had to pay that other contractor $4k to aggressively take apart half of my kitchen to find the problem). <br /> Gary presented a very thorough plan of all of the steps that needed to be done for the repairs and at a very fair and honest price.  I had asked Gary for a few other estimates for unrelated side jobs (sealing our back doors, repairing our front porch steps), all of which were also priced very fair.  No question that we would be hiring Gary!! <br /> After the trench had been dug in the driveway, I happened to go outside one evening and turn on the hose to water the boxwood bushes.  When I came back to wind up the hose, I gasped in horror when I saw the trench filled with water.  I called Gary in a state of panic as I was convinced the water source was now twofold: the makeshift exterior wall and a leaking hose pipe.   <br /> Gary called me first thing the next morning and confirmed that our hose pipe had frozen and burst and needed replacing.  He also noticed that there wasn?t an accessible shut off valve because the previous owner installed it in an area that was covered by cabinets (for the record, I had been unsuccessfully looking for that shut off valve every winter so that I could properly drain the hose and bib to avoid freezing and broken pipes)!  I was really nervous by how much additional scope and cost this would add to our contract price but was so pleased that it was done for $470.   <br /> Gary and his team were top-notch professionals throughout the entire project.  The quality of their work is unparalleled.  Gary kept the lines of communication open and was very considerate in his follow-up and provided me with status updates along the way.  I truly felt that I was in the best care and that Gary treated me as a he would a friend or a family member.  I can?t recommend Perryhall Remodeling enough!  I look forward to our next home project and using Gary?s services again in the future.   <br /> *I used another company to repair the hardwood floors as I had already paid them a deposit after we thought the ice maker was the cause of the water damage; however, we would have used Perryhall Remodeling if that weren't the case. <br />"

"Taylor Made Custom Contracting did a wonderful job remodeling my basement which included new flooring, cabinets, counters, windows, kitchen area, and bathroom. Kevin, Suzanne, and Alan were extremely helpful from start to finish. All of their suggestions were in sync with the ideas I had in my head and Kevin made it a reality. With the current pandemic, we were a little concerned about having people in our home but they immediately put us at ease. Thank you to Taylor Made for doing a great job, and providing a comfortable atmosphere for my family all throughout the project."

"I have used Tyler and his team for two projects over the last couple years and I will never use someone else. They did a tile backsplash in the kitchen and most recently a bathroom remodel. Tyler is professional, punctual and fair. The work is top notch and no detail is too small. Tyler and team make the process stress free with their ability to trouble shoot complexities and communicate. They take care to protect and maintain the cleanliness of your home through the entire project. "

FAQs for bathroom remodel projects in Darlington, MD

You can buy a replacement vanity by selecting a pre-made unit with an integrated sink from a local home improvement supplier. Pre-made vanities are designed for easy installation and compatibility with your existing plumbing. If a ready-made option doesn't meet your needs, consider hiring a custom builder to create a vanity that fits your space and style.

You can purchase a bathroom vanity from major home improvement retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s or online stores like Wayfair, which offer a variety of pre-made vanities. Visiting local showrooms and bathroom supply stores can also provide professional advice and help you choose the right vanity for your space.

Installing your bathroom vanity flush against the wall enhances stability and prevents shifting. This placement also eliminates hard-to-clean gaps and keeps your vanity securely in place. Building codes often require a minimum clearance of four inches from bathtubs and at least 21 inches of free space in front of the sink for accessibility and safety.

You can upgrade a single vanity to a double vanity by installing additional cabinets, a second sink, and matching fixtures. This process requires additional plumbing adjustments, countertop modifications, and careful alignment to ensure both sinks function correctly. Upgrading to a double vanity enhances bathroom functionality and offers more space, which is especially beneficial for shared bathrooms.

The best vanity top material depends on your budget, style preferences, and maintenance willingness. Materials like quartz or solid surfaces are excellent choices for durability and low maintenance. If you're on a tighter budget, laminate is affordable but less durable. Consider how much traffic your bathroom gets and choose a material that balances cost, appearance, and upkeep.

Installing a bathroom vanity takes between three and six hours. Simple installations may be completed in under three hours, while more complex projects requiring adjustments or plumbing modifications can take up to six hours or more. The installation process includes assembling cabinets, placing the countertop, installing the sink if necessary, and connecting plumbing.
