"I called on a Monday and told the office person what I needed. She scheduled me for the following Friday. Troy arrived and got to work. Not only did he spray, but he went outside and swept away all the cobwebs which are so prevalent now.  He ended up treating the yard, too, since I had complained about carpenter ants. <br /> (I had contacted another pest control outfit which told me I had so much mold in my crawlspace that he estimated $1,000 to just clean up the mold. After having some issues with raccoons in our attic and then hearing additional "scurries and scratching", we called Catawba Wildlife Control. They were quick to arrive (even during the New Year holiday), completed a thorough assessment and provided their recommendation and quote, all in the same day. Their knowledge is outstanding -- being able to identify animals by recent and old droppings found in the attic or on the roof. They provided a ~2 week timeframe to trap any animals and enforce the house to restrict access. Due to inclement weather, the timing got extended a bit but they remained super communicative of timing and when they'd be swinging by. Best of all, they provide a 5 year guarantee/warranty and do their best to use live traps AND release animals humanely (if permitted). "I called A-1 to come out and check for a piece of snake skin that I found in my attic. There was no evidence of a snake currently in my attic so I figured just an inspection to see where they might be coming in from was worth the look. The cost of the inspection was $169 (seemed really steep for an inspection considering there was no actual animal to be removed). Chris was very professional and showed me evidence of where a critter might come through. He also informed me that it was pretty old and had been there for over a year - so was very knowledgeable of pest evidence. Took a walk around the house, pointed out an area where they might be coming in from, and told me I can seal it off myself. He was at my house for under 25 minutes. He determined there is an opening at the top of my house that could have wire put over it. To screen over four 3' base triangular areas across my house, A1 quoted me $600.00. I was able to purchase this same wire from a home improvement store for under $20 and installed the screen on my covers in under 2 hours. I understand that these workers are insured, but if I would have paid A1 close to $800 for $30 of materials and under 3 hours of work. As much as I enjoyed Chris upfront honesty and ability to work with, I think this company is too expensive."
