He called in the part order, and fit us in between afternoon jobs to come back and install the board, calling first to ensure we were home. The only slightly negative issue was the cost of the circuit board, but that wasn't the Appliance Doctor's fault, it was KitchenAid's/Whirlpool. He gave me some brief safety advice (showed us where the water shut-offs were, recommended no one use washers and dryers while asleep or away), seeming genuinely concerned.
