"I hate being condescended to. Listen to what I want and then give suggestions on how I might be able to work that out in my kitchen. Don't just tell me it can't be done. I felt like I was wasting my time. I asked about a particular type of closet (not realizing it was part of a bigger cabinet...how would I know) and she told me to follow her (using her finger to me like a child) and said I couldn't have it because it was as part of a bigger piece. She could have just said that. I said if I can't make my kitchen more "usable" (less wasted space), WHY to with custom cabinets. I could just reface. The woman behind me who was waiting to ask her a question said. Listen, if you can't get what you want, I don't blame you for not spending the money. It's easy to reface. So, I called another company and, low and behold, I'm getting partial refacing and partial custom cabinets. He came and we discussed HOW I could get my carousel cabinet (uh - he suggested I go from a double to a single sink - easy peasy) AND, he came in at half the price your website suggested I might pay. It is really nice to be listened to...especially when it's MY money I'm spending."

"I had old style yellow oak kitchen cabinets. Instead of tearing them out, I decided to reface with MadCity. They were professional, efficient and did excellent work. My cabinet doors were re-made in a newer more modern style, the hinges are now on the inside and slow close, and the finish is beautiful. I am now proud of my kitchen. "Larry and the crew finished an approximately 600 square foot basement area including a bedroom/office, main room, and full bathroom. The job did take longer than planned but there were both supply issues and weather issues that slowed them down. The work area was kept fairly clean and they took pains to keep the rest of my house clean and protected throughout the process. I wanted this job done by the books and Larry went through the process of transferring his license to Johnson County, pulling the permits, and scheduling the inspections. The inspector was very complimentary about the work and I don not think there were any findings in any of the inspections, which tells me it was a job well done. We made several changes along the way including adding a linen closet and additional closet under the stairs, and changing the location of one of the walls. We also had to work through a couple of quirks that every house will throw at you but the team did a great job adapting. If I had to be critical about anything it would be inefficiency. There were lot of trips to the hardware store for supplies which may have contributed to the longer than planned job duration, however, that impacts IDC more than me. I trusted Larry and the team with my home and we are pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend IDC for any jobs you have in the South Kansas City area."

"We hired Young Remodeling to install a complex and custom pantry near the back door alcove of our kitchen.  We own an old home, so our kitchen is small.  The new pantry was/is designed to help add counter space to the main kitchen area by providing cabinet storage for a microwave oven, as well our toaster oven and coffee maker via a quartz counter top.  We also wanted to add additional storage via 4 custom cabinets.  Special pullouts were designed for storage containers in a lower cabinet, as well as a pullout bar beneath the microwave.  Young Remodeling did fantastic work on all facets of the job.  From recommending vendors, to providing design options, to ensuring quality in the cabinets, counter top, and tile, and of course the install - it was all top notch.  The end result is absolutely stunning. Of note, we would have given Young Remodeling high marks for the work in general, but they get exceptional points for problem solving. We had a severe challenge with one of our door options.  Working with my wife and I they were able to create a unique sliding door solution that actually performed better than the original design.  It looked amazing and didn't add any costs.  All in all, they are just fabulous to work with and their work product is of the highest standards.  We plan to continue to work with Young as we continue to remodel our plaza area home.
