"Just wanted to share my experience w/ Blue Chip Pest Control. My 6 month old puppy got into their rat poison box in my back yard which they assured me would never happen. They said he could never get into it and that the poison would never hurt him because of his size. (About 50lbs. at the time). He couldn’t stop vomiting and was pooping blood. My girlfriend took him straight to the Vet where they treated him with vitamin K and some nausea stuff for his stomach. I have been a customer for over 10 yrs. and when I called to notify them they told me that wasn’t possible like I made it up. All I asked from them was to please pay the approx. $400 Vet bill. We went back and forth for several months finding it very difficult to get ahold of them most times. Finally they asked me to get something in writing from my Vet which I did and they still would not respond for over a month. I then threatened to leave a bad review and within an hr. they responded offering to credit my account for the Vet bill. That would have been great if they’d have did that in the beginning, but after all the grief all I really wanted was to get reimbursed so I could take my business elsewhere. I know the ownership changed recently but that is no way to treat a long term customer. I will never use them again and if asked, will def. urge others to use someone else!"

"Two very nice people came and spent an hour and a half working on my house. I was told I would need to do some work before they returned. Received the list of things to do: pull out stove and fridge and clean behind them, remove things from kitchen cubbords and wash inside and out, wipe out drawers, clean bathroom cabinets, remove clothes hanging in closets, etc. I am 90 and cannot do most of these things, sigh. I called a national exterminating firm, the man came, (no requirements for me) took half an hour, and after 10 days, not a sign of roaches! (Cost $80 less, as well.)"

"I have used Critter Control for many years. I used them because their employees were invariably knowledgeable about the various animals often telling me from clues left by the animals exactly what type of animal I was dealing with. They have now been bought out by a large company and it seems as if a lot of that knowledge has left. I recently hired them to deal with animals, I assumed possums. They have changed their pricing structure from a per animal charge to a flat fee. They explained that before hand and while pricey, I was willing to deal with it because of the good experiences I had had in the past. They came out and caught immediately a baby possum. Afterward, I got up the scat so I would know if there were others. There were although the employee thought it wasn't more scat just mud. I pointed out that when it had been fresh, it was obviously scat. I also suggested that they might want to move the traps as I did not think it reflected where the animals had been going. Long story short, they only caught the one possum and left. I hired another company and on day one, they caught two more. I won't use Critter Control again as they now seem to lack the basic knowledge that long ago drew me to them."
