"After reviewing several roofing companies on Angi and elsewhere, as well as one family recommendation, we went with Seidel to have all the singles, underlying materials, and gutters replaced on our ~ 25 year old home. The first thing to know about this company is that Udo is a knowledgeable professional who is happy to answer any questions leading up to the job, and assist with things that can be challenging, like getting permits or working with HOAs. During the work he checked in multiple times and even supplied some photos of the roof while the crew was up there, to confirm boards were all OK. In short, he doesn't miss details and does a great job communicating throughout. We went with a higher grade of shingle and supporting materials, and so far (after 30+ days and several storms) the overall quality looks great. I don't anticipate any issues through the coming winter, but will update should anything warrant it. "The exterior of our house in NW Evanston was damaged to the tune of nearly $25k following a significant hail storm. When it came time to replace our aluminum siding with Hardie we called Joe on the recommendation of a neighbor. Joe earned our trust early with great communication and helpful guidance throughout the claim process and was onsite to maximize the claim with our adjuster. We eventually received 4-6 competitive quotes on the project before signing a contract. Joe took the time to review these quotes and match another well-reviewed local contractor.
