"From initial contact to completion of work, Allied Asphalt performed as expected. Removal of old driveway asphalt commenced on schedule and the entire project which, included 10% widening of the drive, was completed by early afternoon. The work crew was hard-working and enthusiastic yet careful to avoid damaging adjacent lawn areas, concrete garage apron, and front sidewalk. Edges of the drive were nicely tapered and the ends of the drive now smoothly transition from the newly-paved street into the driveway and from the driveway onto garage apron."

"I am very pleased with the outcome and only wish I had asked for a larger area. I received more than one quote for this job. Huntington Asphalt was not only the best quote, but I feel they were the most honest as they did not recommend re-doing the sub-base, which had been driven on and compacted since the 1920s -- redoing the sub base would have added unnecessary cost and time. <br /> Gregg, the owner, came out personally (they are over an hour away) and had a quote for us by the time he left. When the job was done, it was perfect. The asphalt was smooth, all the way up to the edges and even covered areas I didn't assume would be covered. It has been several months now, and the driveway has held up to everything. It welcome change to the muddy surface that was there before. <br /> I did have some initial difficulties scheduling the work, but that is minor. The company was very busy after the horrible winter we had, and they had many commercial jobs lined up that could not wait. <br /> Another thing I really like is that Gregg communicates over email, which really simplified coordination and scheduling with me. <br />"

"Warmzone has been very responsive. However, the installers made mistakes installing the system and when they went to correct it, somehow caused damage that made the system inoperable. They had to come back a year later and redo it. Now it works pretty good. Every time I've had questions Warmzone has been very responsive. i would use them again--but use their recommended installers and not my contractors who did it last time. <br /> One caveat: The system doesn't always work perfectly in very cold weather with fast accumulating snow. We have old-fashioned clay brick pavers. Next time I'll send Warmzone a sample of the pavers so that they can test for the power needed to operate the system effectively. <br /> But--they sell a great product and they're very helpful to deal with. They'll get right on the phone with you and troubleshoot, even long after the sale. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Demotte, IN

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
