"Called, made an appointment (was about two weeks out on appointments). On the date and appointed time, An Andy's truck arrived on time with three employees. They listened to my issues; one zone was not working and I wanted a tune up of the system, as well. They set about checking everything, ran all 9 zones I have, replaced three leaky sprinkler heads found during testing and adjusted the sprinkler heads as necessary. They also reset my timer to run the times, days and amount I wanted so it would run on automatic. "The sod install was done well, but I had to remind them to do things like clear and test the sprinkler heads and complete a landscape wall (it was too low and the mulch would have spilled out from the rain). The bid included the removal of bushes, but he talked me into keeping what I had. Since he was not going to be removing them, I asked and he agreed to trim them. When I had to remind him about that as he was leaving, he said he did not have his trimmers, but had a job in the area the next week and would be back. He did not come, and ignored my texts asking whether he was coming. Like most contractors I have dealt with, once they get their $, they drop off...regardless of whether the job is done or not. It is not a huge deal, but when someone leaves asking me to consider them for future work, they should complete what they say they are going to do if they want that to happen. I would still recommend them, but I would recommend getting an itemized list of every portion of the job to be done, and potentially assign a $ amount to each portion in the event that something changes in the plan."
