"Arrived three hours late. Original start time was 9 am and arrived approximately 12 pm. This was largely a non-issue for me as I was more focused on the work and installed products. The driveway gate's wooden slats were stained off site a shade closer to a dark brown instead of the planned darker color...closer to black. We pointed out the variance in expectation and the vendor quickly resolved by applying a dark stain on site. This, too, was a non-issue as the gate still needed to be painted elsewhere after installation completed. The vendor jumped on the concern quickly though and didn't question it. The gate looks gorgeous! Fabulous!!! The vinyl block wall extensions look so much better than the wooden ones. Overall, a fantastic job and great products! <br />"

"The technician recommended 2 new springs for equal balance, which made sense, plus new metal chains at the base of the springs, plus adjustments. I Sometime during the repair, I asked how much it would cost, so I could make out the check, and was told $500 which I thought rather high. Unfortunately, there were no coupons for a first time service, or other "specials". The repair seemed to go smoothly, although the door is stiff to open (we've never needed a door opener) and does not close completely flat due to the new tight springs, and that this would probably improve with time, or so I was told by the technician. Hopefully this is the case. The more I thought about it, I felt that I had been overcharged. . . my fault because I needed this taken care of right away, and I didn't call at least 2 other companies, which I usually do. So later I called 3 other "A" rated garage door companies, explaining in detail the service I'd had. The charges quoted for the same service were between $275 - $300 "under $400 at most". It really pays to check out at least 3 businesses before making a decision! After calling the company another person came the next day and replaced the springs with different ones which worked."

He wrote down, in detail, everything that was to be done and it was all completed beautifully and in a timely manner. "I had several estimates for the same job.  Most of the estimates were around $5,000 to $6000 plus. However, National Deck's estimate was $12,000+.  I tried to work with the estimator to try to understand why  this estimate is more than twice as much as the rest.  He said not all estimates have to be in the same range.  I never got an explanation that I was looking for. I really wanted to work with him because it looked like they were highly rated on this website.  since I did not receive a satisfactory that I was looking for, I decided to go elsewhere.  There are others that is more than half the price with workers' compensation, bond and liability insurance. <br />"
