"Jose’ has a very professional appearance and demeanor. He took a great deal of time in explaining the problem to me, actually showed me the cost of parts necessary to repair, which was as much or more than a new stove. He did not try to push an expensive repair on me. He made thoughtful recommendations on a new stove, and even gave me a couple of hints on issues with two other major appliances. Although disappointed that my 9 year old stove could not economically be repaired, I was THOROUGHLY satisfied with this experience. We will definitely call First Priority the next time we need a major appliance repair."

"Based on the age and original cost of the appliance and the cost of the repair, technician recommended buying a new dryer.  He recommended a few brands and recommended a few to avoid as well.

"From the estimate to the installation everything was detailed and layed out and easy to understand. Jesse said he was going to watch over the job which he did. They cleaned and picked up everything and were very cautious of the property and explained the process along the way. Before the technicians left Jesse took the time to explain the thermostat and how it is programmed. Thank you Jesse and Johnny!! We will definitely use you again for all our family business!!

"I signed up for an annual service agreement with Vetter Air.  I had built a new home and was coming up on my one year warranty end and wanted to make sure that I was doing proper maintenance on new a/c unit.  When Vetter Air came out...they were on time to the minute...my time is valuable and I REALLY APPRECIATED this level of respect for my time.  They did a very thorough check of all installation on unit upstairs and exterior.  They discovered that I was a pound low on freon.  It seems as though when a new a/c unit is installed and if it is a long run on the lines to the outside unit that the new units installed by builders quite often have this problem because the units come with freon...but not enough to account for the lines.  I learned something valuable from Vetter Air that I was able to share with my daughter who also just built a new home.  They also carried the new box filters I needed...buy 2 get 1 free!  Awesome deal.  The price I paid for the annual service agreement included the thorough check up and one more visit to make sure I'm good for the winter and I think they probably saved me that by catching the low freon...they took the time to  educate me on proper maintenance...and that will save me money.  Thanks Vetter Air!  Sheri Wieters"

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"They took an extra day to complete it from what was estimated, but that didn't affect the cost, so I did not really care. The finished result was exactly what I wanted, which was the fantastic look of dark hardwood flooring with the benefits of porcelain. It's easy to maintain, and there are no scratches from my 100+ pound dogs. I'm writing this review 2 years after installation, and I have not come across any problems or issues. I would use them again if and when I move...since I can't take my floors with me!

FAQs for appliance (smaller size) installation and replacement projects in Devine, TX

Garbage disposals last around 10 years when properly maintained. If your unit is getting close to that age or repair costs are increasing, it might be time to consider a replacement. Regular maintenance and careful use can help maximize your garbage disposal's performance and help it reach its maximum lifespan.

There are several signs to watch for that indicate your garbage disposal needs to be replaced. Replacement may be necessary if it doesn't work even though it's properly connected, the blades are worn and causing delays in operation, a persistent foul odor that won't go away, or leaks coming from the bottom due to a compromised seal. If you're experiencing any of these issues, it might be time to consider getting a new garbage disposal to keep your kitchen running smoothly.

A plumber or handyperson can install your garbage disposal if the electrical connections are already in place. If you need additional electrical work, you'll also need to hire a qualified electrician to handle the rest of the job. Hiring local professionals ensures the installation is safe and up to code.

It’s important to avoid putting certain items down the drain to keep your garbage disposal running smoothly and avoid clogs. Expandable foods like pasta, rice, oatmeal, and bread can swell and cause blockages. Coffee grounds, grease, fats, and oils can accumulate and create clogs. Hard items such as meat bones, nuts, and fruit pits can damage the disposal blades. Eggshells, potato peels, and fibrous vegetables such as celery, pumpkin, corn husks, artichokes, onion skins, and asparagus can wrap around the blades or obstruct the pipes.

Not every sink is suitable for the installation of a garbage disposal. The compatibility of the sink with the disposal depends on the material and structural integrity. While many standard sinks support these units, fireclay sinks are prone to cracking under the added stress and should not be used. Confirm that your sink can securely accommodate the disposal before installation.

Choosing the correct size garbage disposal depends on your household size and how much waste you produce. A 1/3–1/2 horsepower unit should be sufficient for households with one to two people. If your household consists of three to six people, a 1/2–3/4 horsepower unit is recommended. FA3/4–1 horsepower model will be necessary. For larger households of five to eight people
