"This was a great experience from start to finish. John Fears came out to give me the estimate. We talked in-depth about certain things that set his company apart from other local fence companies. Clearly customer service is a priority. He is personable, honest and very attentive to the needs of the customer. We discussed options for how much area the fence should cover and how many gates were needed. John didn't try to upsell me on everything. Instead, he gave me an honest opinion on what would work best for my needs as a homeowner (and pet owner). <br /> <br /> I needed to submit fence plans to my homeowners association and John offered to help with those plans in any way he could. I sent several emails to him during this process and all were returned promptly and professional. They came to the house to install on the day and time they said they would be there. The entire crew was professional, friendly, hard-working and good at their trade. <br /> <br /> I also feel confident in saying that service after the sale will not be an issue. John strikes me as an honest family man with a good old-fashioned family owned business. Not the type of business owner who will just disappear after the work is done. He has already contacted me to let me know that if I need anything going forward, all I have to do is call. And my fence was only finished 4 days ago. <br /> <br /> I have had MANY comments already on how nice the fence looks. It really does catch your eye when you turn down my street. "I contacted them through their website, and they (wife) got back to me that same day with questions about the project.  We corresponded through email and phone calls regarding the project and what it entailed.  They (husband & wife) offered me choices and pricing before they even came out to see the yard.  I also got estimates from one other fencing company who came out and talked with me about all my options.  (They were great, too.) <br /> I went on vacation and told them when I'd be back.  While we were on vacation, we decided on the type of fence and the company we wanted to work with.  We chose to work with Houlihan because it's a family-run, small business with pricing similar to the bigger fencing company I talked to.  They called me a couple days after I got back and were able to start the next day!  (Our backyard utilities are all in the air, so they didn't have to wait on the utility marking company.)  And their plan was to have it done in one day. <br /> They sent 2-3 people in to do the job the first day - digging holes, setting poles in concrete, etc.  The team left shortly after 2pm, left all their stuff (& a bit of a mess), plus their trailer in my driveway.  The fence was not completed.  But the owner came back by 5pm, cleaned everything up, and took the trailer.  If I worked full-time, I wouldn't have known about the mess.  The crew came back the next day, and the fence was finished that day.  The owner came back to inspect everything and noticed a problem with the gate latch and a few minor things that we hadn't noticed.  He had a plan to have it fixed the following business day, and it was done early in the day. <br /> We love our new fence.  It keeps our small dog safely inside our yard.  The owner was great!  While he over-promised on timing, he's friendly and very thorough.  I am confident that the work was done thoughtfully at high standards.  I would use him and his company again. <br />"

"Lance was quick to call back, and came right away to give written estimate along with proof of insurance, etc., within 1 day scheduled the service.  Came today. Asked us to move aour truck from the driveway and began on the pin oak.  I went out to go somewhere when they were half through, and they stopped me and asked how it looked.  When I returned an hour or so later, they asked again how I liked it and if it was as I had requested.  Then they called me out when the trimming was completed and asked once more if it was done to my satisfaction. They cleaned up everything and  were very friendly.  We would definitely recommend this business! <br />"

"<p> Juan and his sons have worked in my home twice.  Both times their work product, integrity, and professionalism exceeded my expectation.  </p> <p>Juan understands how to approach a job.  He communicates effectively, knowing exactly what information he needs from you in order to proceed in a manner that matches your preference.  He never tries to overcomplicate issues to make the project seem more complex.  He also does not take a lot of your time rehashing the work to be done.   </p> <p>While listed as a painter, he and his sons do a lot more than paint. My first project with them included drywall and other carpentry projects.  I forgot this and did not call them first for my most recent project - which I later regretted. </p> <p>I called them to paint and  as it turned out to fix the work done by the other contractor. Juan was were very polite even though he saw immediately what needed to be done from a functional and esthetics perspective. He didn't criticize the other person's work.  He just told me what he would like to do to make it work and look better. </p> <p>It took a few days for him to come and assess the project. Two days is get his bid. His sons started the following day and had the work completed in another  2 days. From first call to project completion was about a week. </p> <p>I my prior experience with his company, I had experienced damage due to a water leak. He told me in his opinion, I did not need to do the more extensive work (removing all the dry wall and baseboards) suggested by the person who recommended him  to me, even  though I was prepared to pay him do it. I agreed to follow his remedy and have had no problems and I remain very happy with his repairs and the esthetics of his craftsmanship. </p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"After calling their office a gentleman came out to give us a bid. That happened in just a matter of days. We accepted the bid and the work was to be done on Aug. 24 but they called on Aug. 15th to say they could do the work the next day. Three young men came out yesterday ready to work. They were friendly and we discussed the details of the work. After watching for awhile I could tell they had the skills and knowledge of the work. They cleaned up the area when they finished. Also they fixed two gates that were difficult to open and one would not lock. I was impressed with their work and would definitely hire again!"

"I got several quotes for the job. Baecht's Decks was by far the most reasonable, and Tina was also the most knowledgeable and thorough person with whom I spoke. Some other companies wanted twice as much to simply wash and stain the deck, whereas Baecht's quote included all of the work necessary to do the job right - stripping, brightening, sanding, and staining. The oil-based stain they use looks beautiful and will weather without chipping and flaking. Tina also made color recommendations based on my preferences and ended up mixing two colors for me to get the look I wanted. She was prompt and professional for the two visits to strip/brighten and then sand/stain, and delivered on the tight timeline I needed despite some rainy days in the mix. I am completely happy with how beautiful the deck looks and the experience of working with Baecht's Decks. I would definitely hire them again!"
