The company main contact scheduled an appointment to review and assess the lawn, and provided a quote for the services needed (trimming the Hedge bushes, laying down grass feed, and mulching the trees). The company informed me when they would be able to perform the services needed, and they showed up as agreed. The lawn was amazing!! My attendance was not required, since I had to be in the office. Once the services were completed, the company sent me photos of the completed work, and my yard looked like a complete new yard. If you are looking for someone to cater, and professionally landscape your yard, I truly recommend FM&H Brothers Landscapes."

"Mr. Benitez came out and walked the property with me. We discussed what needed to be done, and he recommended a couple of other services, all of which seemed reasonable. His price was higher than the last landscaping contractor I had used; however, this was a more involved job. In the end, it was worth every penny. My planting beds were reshaped, cleared of weeds, and mulched, as were the tree rings in my yard. His crew also took the time to trim the trees in my front and back yards, and the results were outstanding. Mr. Benitez recommended building a planting bed around our A/C units, which I hadn't originally considered. The results were outstanding. The crew was prompt, polite, and extremely professional. Mr. Benitez called to ensure that I was satisfied with the work, and he clearly takes a great deal of pride in the work that his team performs. Our backyard was useless with standing water and a mud pit under our deck, but Troy installed a french drain system and buried several downspouts to divert the water away from the middle of the yard and installed some river rock with a border under the deck to make it an attractive area versus an eye sore. Will definitely be hitting Troy back up for some more landscaping work in the spring."

"Brian and his crew were absolutely incredible. We just moved into a home in Takoma Park, MD and our front and back yard were in need of some major work. The backyard was a complete jungle. It was extremely overgrown with weeds, brush, poison ivy, and dead/unattractive trees. Brian's crew manually dug out everything and removed all of the dead trees as well as their roots. They also cut back a ton of bamboo and then laid mulch down in the entire yard. Brian and his crew were able to start within days after getting the final quote. Brian is an extremely reasonable, knowledgable, and caring person. In addition to his landscaping knowledge, he is also a "master gardener." We had no clue about what to do next, so he offered to draw out some sketches of designs (free of charge) as well as ideas for plants and flowers that would be suitable for our particular yard. I took this sketch with me to the nursery yesterday and it was very helpful! I would highly recommend using Yard by Yard if you're searching for a landscaping company that you can trust will do a fantastic job!"

"This work took place eleven months ago, but that gives us the ability to say that everything Kurt’s team planted looks great and is growing nicely, except one bush that is struggling, which Kurt agreed to replace without hesitation. We have been in our house for 22 years, and finally got around to replacing the crummy landscaping and walkway the developer put in. Distinct Landscapes installed a paver walkway, and a complete set of bushes, flowers and a crape myrtle tree. The work was done very well and within budget, and the crew distinguished itself by how well they cleaned up the site. The spacing between plantings to allow for future growth seems perfect. Most of all we like Kurt. He is low-key and friendly, offers solid, knowledgeable opinions when asked, and never applies any sort of sales pressure. We would use Distinct Landscapes again, and recommend them without hesitation."
