This is a company that not only answers their phone, but is happy to answer your questions and is friendly, knowledgeable, thorough and professional. When they had something to check on, they got back to you in a timely manner. Their crew who did the installation arrived in the timeframe we were promised, and they were also friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and cleaned up their mess when they were done. Another reason we liked using them for our roof project is they were able to replace a faulty gutter and a broken piece of siding hanging down on the roof, precluding us from having to find someone else to do that. We will be calling American Craftsmen when we want to replace our siding and windows. They take pride in how they do things, and it’s easy to see why they have so many great reviews. "Ralph Bertrand from Home Genius Exteriors came out to thoroughly examine our roof. Ralph showed us many photos & a video of our roof, outside & inside. Ralph took the time to answer any questions we had. He explained the various products used & levels of warranty available. We really appreciated the time Ralph spent explaining everything to us, all without pressure to buy. The day of install arrived & the team was on time & ready to work! One thing we liked was that there was someone there from Home Genius Exteriors during the whole time of install. Richard Bowan, the Install Manager, was there to oversee everything & he did an amazing job. They placed large tarps over all our landscaping & got right to work. Rich kept us updated on progress throughout the day & answered any questions we had. In addition to the new roof, we also had new gutters with leaf guards & downspouts installed. When the work was completed, we walked around the house with Rich. Everything was completely cleaned up; there was nothing left behind or out of place. Our home looks amazing. The new roof, gutters & downspouts really look beautiful. We loved our experience with Home Genius Exteriors, especially working with both Ralph & Rich. They were so professional & knowledgeable. "Work requested was patching an asphalt roof (not metal) which recently lost some shingles. Crew came the next day on a Sunday afternoon which was greatly appreciated and did a great job on several bad spots on the roof. Only quibble I had was communication. Neither of the two roofers who did the repairs spoke very good English and even the owner was difficult to understand making it hard to explain the repairs needed and to get an estimate before the job began. However responding on a Sunday (heavy rain predicted for Monday) and doing a very good repair got them 5 stars."

"One of the things about William Hartman is he is immensely professional. He has a wealth of knowledge, but also has gumption and a get-the-job-done attitude. For this job, he used Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingles. They look great and offer a host of benefits. Scheduling was easy for both the estimate and the installation. William went over the different options and materials and the pros and cons of them. I was at work for most of the installation, but when I came back, there was a new roof on with no debris in the yard and no damage to my outside items. Everything was how I left it, except there was a new roof."

"Originally, we were scheduled to have our roof inspected on January 10, but due to an ice storm it was not actually inspected until January 24. The owner came out finding that the roof was in pretty good shape. However, some of the roof caps on the various ridge lines needed to be replaced. He also found that the sealant around the pipes coming through the roof had cracked and could be letting in water from either rain or snow. The Technician came out the next day and repaired everything. He also cleaned out the gutters which were long overdue to be cleaned."
