"The work I asked JP General Construction to undertake was the demolition of a 40 year old concrete in-ground swimming pool that was far past its prime. I couldn't be more pleased with the job done by JP General Construction. When I first contacted the owner, Jaime Peredo, he made time to do a site visit the same day in spite of other projects in progress. I found him and his staff to be flexible, straight forward in describing the details of the work to be done, the techniques and equipment involved and the probable duration of the project. The work ethic and attention to detail was exactly what I was looking for., especially on the part of his employee Carlos who was tireless in some very difficult work breaking up the concrete and rebar with a jackhammer. Initially I realized that this was probably not too common a job, so with due diligence I got several proposals for the work, including one from JP General Construction. I had previously been acquainted with their pool demolition work by a near neighbor who also had a pool demolition done by JP General Construction some years ago. The original diggers had buried these close to the surface, which would have made landscaping impossible. This was not Jerry's fault, as they did not follow his instructions to break these up, and add them to the substrate rock under the patio base. There were delays due to the very bad weather, out of his control, but the re-scheduling needs could have been communicated better, in my opinion."

"This repair involved parging a badly crumbling external concrete wall. D and A Concrete came out for an estimate, which I found very reasonable. They made two trips in order to do a primary and finishing coat of concrete. The results exceeded expectations. In fact, D and A's work looked better than the rest of the wall which was not damaged. They were very responsive and easy to deal with. I recommend them highly."

"Steve Norfolk and his crew dug down to the footing and applied the waterproof material a section at a time.  The original plan was to dig the entire area first and then apply the waterproof material all at the same time.  However daily torrential rains turned the area into a sea of mud, so he decided to do it a section at a time to minimize problems associated with the rain.  He had to break up a concrete slab (porch) for 1/2 the front, and approximately 25 feet of driveway next to the house.  Progress was slow due to the rain and mud, but Steve steadfastly pursued the completion of the job despite the setbacks.  Although justifiably discouraged by the rain and lack of progress, he exhibited a positive "can do" attitude and kept at it.  The finished product was professionally done.  Backfill and all concrete were properly completed, and grass seed applied.  Steve is a conscientious professional who knows his business and can be relied upon to do the work he says he will accomplish.  I would use him again in a heartbeat.

"We have been extremely happy with the MP Home Repair company and their work. We found them through Angie’s List and hired them early in May 2018 to do a complete bathroom renovation, ripping out and replacing tile walls, tile floors, the old tub, etc. in a 1950-60's era home. They had only about two weeks to complete the project because we were on a tight time schedule. They came through with flying colors. They showed up on time every morning, and the project came in right at the original estimated cost. During the course of the renovation, we asked them to do an additional job for an extra charge, which they happily agreed to do. A few weeks ago we hired them again for another job, this time for a partial renovation of a side porch. They replaced the porch posts, the roof, porch ceiling, and some of the flooring planks where needed. We've been very satisfied with their work for both projects. Marco Pena and his crew have been attentive, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. We can't say enough good things about the company and will hire them again for future projects."
