"The All Renovations team, led by Tony, did a fantastic job. The first two days had 4 people working to dismantle my bathroom, and then for the days of cutting tile, had 2 people at all times. They worked quickly, and hard, from 9am till sometimes 7pm. Master bath was done in 9 working days. This company handles labor and construction materials, while the client handle purchasing of most renovation materials like the tile, vanity, fixtures, tub, and toilet. For those who want to have direct control over the materials, and the cost, this is the way to go. I was onsite each day, and would give some direction (which they always closely followed) like how I wanted the tiles, which grout goes with which tiles, and that I wanted an additional light switch because I added a chandelier to the room. I've already decided to have the team back to construct a half bath."

"CCR did kitchen remodel and removal of dining room wall in our condo. Because they know Watergate Landmark so well they were able to help work us thru the regulation process and deal with the quirks of the original kitchen. Lighting is owner Adrian's signature. He chose the under cabinet lighting and set up. I trusted him and he did not disappoint. The first time I turned them on I was with a group of friends. We all gasped as if we had just seen a spectacular magic trip. The cabinet vendor and designer treated us poorly from the get go. Adrian did his best to act as our advocate. We appreciate his efforts but we all paid for the cabinet company's mistakes. Did not say goodbye to Adrian. We just said "see you later" He will be coming back to do additional renovation work for us."

"Munoz Construction LLC did a great job on renovating my primary bedroom bathroom. Jose, the owner, listens well and makes great recommendations. Everything went according to plan and I am 100% happy with the result. The work occurred during a time when I had to be out of the house for large parts of most days, and I had no concern about it. Communication with Jose and his team was excellent. In the end, we also stayed within the estimated cost."

"Ruben and his team were extremely courteous, hard-working and reliable. They did three projects for us in a 1980-build SFH house we just purchased in Vienna, VA. One was a complete remodel of our Master Bathroom on the 2nd Floor. The second was a remodel of the old brick & brass fireplace in the family room, and finally the creation of a new room-wide step down between the kitchen and the family room giving the entire area an open appearance. The bathroom was originally an 80's style monstrosity with green marble, shiny brass fixtures and a huge black jacuzzi - we changed that to a clean look with grey slate, some moroccan tiling in the shower area and a white soaking tub. The fireplace was re-faced with stacked stone to the ceiling, creating space for shelving and a TV mounting area in the middle. Looks great now and is highly functional. The step just ties the two rooms together for a clean uncluttered look. Ruben is a very friendly person and a great listener who puts his clients interests first. He discussed the projects in detail with me and offered his suggestions when asked. He takes a personal interest in making sure things are done in the right way and communicates regularly with his customer. He is also very knolwedgeable about his trade-craft. At the end he also repainted the hallway, stairwell and the room walls to have a nice finish. My wife and I are very happy about the end-result, we have a lovely home. The only thing I wished is if the project had been concluded a bit earlier on time, but I know that the vast vast majority of projects go over the schedule. I would recommend Ruben, Nancy & his team at Two Bros without any hesitation."

"I'll start with the TLDR blurb: Gary, Junior, Kenny and Clint from Two by Four did a fantastic job on my basement. I'm very happy with their professionalism, workmanship, and candor.  <br /> Now for the long version. We recently moved into a new house which has a finished basement. The problem was that there was a weird shaped room with no windows, no air registers and electrical receptacles high on the wall as if a countertop used to be there. In short, we wanted this room removed and the basement to have a completely open concept. After contacting multiple contractors about the work and getting bids, I happened to find the Angie's List Big Deal advertising 35 hours of general contractor work for $1500 by Two by Four ("2x4") Construction. Great deal, so I purchased it.  <br /> After some back and forth with Gary, the owner, we found a mutually agreeable day for him to come and look at the job. We walked through the basement, talked about what I wanted done, and he understood exactly what I wanted, We even talked about a support column in the room that might contain plumbing which would make installing a sink easier in the future. (Something my wife and I are certainly interested in doing somewhere down the line.) After everything was gone over Gary explained that the job would most likely take longer than 35 man-hours to complete and electrical work was charged on a per hour basis because you just can't tell what's behind the walls until you take them down. Considering two guys at 9 hours a day comes to 18 man-hours, the 35 hours from the deal would go pretty fast. Gary provided an estimate of what it would cost for the work, not including the electrical, and we decided that we would just subtract the $1500 already paid from whatever the end cost ended up being. <br /> On the day work was scheduled to begin, Junior (Gary's son) and Clint showed up early and was ready to roll. I went over the details of the job with both of them to make sure we were on the same page. Junior wasn't sure any electrical work would be done the first day so we didn't discuss that too much. After that, they started working immediately. About 11:30am that morning I got a call from Kenny who was doing the electrical work to ask a few questions on the location for the pendant lights and where to relocate the switches. I had everything pre-measured and drawn out for him so it was easy to know where everything went. He also explained that the wiring in our basement was a mess and gave me several options to fix it. We decided to create an access panel in the ceiling and he fixed the wiring and brought everything up to code. On the advice of Gary, I purchased additional laminate to fix the holes in the floor where the walls were removed. Turns out the stuff I bought was too thick to match what was already there. 2x4 went to Home Depot and purchased the right stuff (and even matched it much better than I did to what was already there!) and fixed it all up. The stuff they bought was even cheaper than the stuff I got! After the first day, much to my surprise, the work looked at least 75% finished. <br /> On the second day, Kenny and Clint came to finish up the electrical and the drywall guy came to start patching everything up. Kenny called me around 3:00pm and informed me that the 35 hours would end at 4pm. At that time they would pack up and leave. He said that there was still some drywall work that needed to be finished but it was my call on whether to have the guy come back on Wednesday to finish it up. He explained what needed to be finished, how long it would take and how much extra it would cost. He was completely up-front about everything and I really appreciated that. We went ahead and scheduled the drywall guy to come and finish everything on Wednesday.  <br /> On Wednesday, Kenny texted me when the drywall guy was finished and asked when he could come by that afternoon or on Thursday to do a final walk-through and pick up some equipment that was left in the basement. He came over at 7am on Thursday morning. All of the work was great. Kenny even gave me some tips on painting the ceiling and walls. The only minor negative about the whole job was finding left over materials and trash left on my back patio. It took all of 5 minutes to bag up and put out with the rest of the trash so not a big deal. <br />"

"We selected this company because we wanted to renovate our master bathroom and add lighting in certain other rooms. They could do both for us. Having recently been through a master bathroom remodel in another house in another region, we knew what we were getting into, and what we wanted. They gave us an early estimate, which seemed reasonable, and wanted several thousand dollars to draw up the design (note: we didn't change the floor plan and we knew basically what we wanted). We met with subcontractors to pick out vanities, tile, and granite. We already had picked out our hardware and fixtures. After this, they gave us our actual estimate - about 60 percent higher than their original estimate! We tried to make sense of their rationale but at the end of the day there was a high dollar amount we could not account for, despite repeated questions asked by us. We did not select the highest end extras that would have escalated the cost. At the end, we went with another contractor (who came in at our original estimate and delivered a beautiful product), selected an electrician on our own, and chose to forego our money for their (TCB) design fee."
