"I live in Apollo Beach and had a sprinkler pump that had stopped working. I called the people that installed the pump. It was about 5 years old. They told me that I needed a new pump and that the pump I had was not the correct one (even though their company installed it).That a new 40' line from the well to the pump was needed. They quoted me $3500. I knew better. I called Bay Area Pump and Well Service right here in Apollo Beach. Wesley Carter and his son came out right on time. They diagnosed the problem as a bad check valve at the well connection and replaced it. They also cleaned out my jet pump and redid the input plumbing into the pump. Installed a ball valve. He explained to me why and how the pump malfunctioned and what he did. They were respectful, courteous and professional. Their charge for parts and service was $200 that included a service charge. They saved me a lot of money. They will be recommended to my family and friends if they need this service.They are honest and reliable."

"I needed to have the flushing components in my toilet tank replaced. Alayna and Jonathan were professional and friendly. They were very safety-conscious, wore masks, gloves, and shoe coverings. They got the job done efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves and left the bathroom even better than they found it. I would definitely use them again if I needed a plumber."

"Did good quality work once they showed up. Over four hours late and they did try to contact me about it. They should have just sent someone else, but... Hired them to replace the shower pan. After about an hour or so, the plumber tells me the drain was all rusted and the bolts broke and wanted me to pay $750 to repair the drain. That got cut down to $350 after I remined them about being late! Don't let people take advantage of you. If you think you are being swindled, you probably are!"

"I highly recommend Patriot Pump and Well Repair to all in need of their services. Our water pump stopped working at 1pm on a Sunday. And we got on the phone and started calling numbers left and right. Everyone else either had answering services, voicemail and I had one company tell me they wouldn’t be able to come out until the following day even though I told them we didn’t have running water in our home! Finally called Patriot Pump and We’ll repair and Scott answered which totally threw me off that I was speaking to someone. "Company review for local business-- This time: Ants short-circuited well pump switch & needed replacement (Last time a long while back: We moved in to house and needed a pump installed to existing well.) RESULTS: Both times, Billy Clark (and sometimes his crew, as needed) were fast, knowledgeable, honest, and-- to prove that last part-- reasonably priced. Both times their installation (Last time) and replacement (This time) worked just fine. Last time, power company had power surges due to bad grounding which caused unequal loading issues, and paid for replacement, but Billy and crew made good at very reasonable rates, and both service calls (Both for the new well hookup and this recent call) were fast, effective, courteous, and reasonably priced: AND-- MOST-IMPORTANTLY-- worked just fine (other than the power surge-- which was NOT well company's fault). I know enough about wells and electrical & mechanical things to know that they treated us fairly. Yeah, I'm glad to write a review for good techs. Would use again and recommend. "Filtration Direct was the first company to call me back from Angie's List. They came out to give me an estimate in a timely manner. Another company called but never took the time to come give me an estimate and I had two other estimates that were pretty much comparable in price but Filtration Direct included extras the other ones didn't. I decided to go with Filtration Direct - they seemed to be very knowledgeable and they took care of me almost immediately when I called them back to do the job. They redirected some pipes so that the water softener would work both at my house and my barn which was awesome. There were some issues with the way my electric was wired but they got it done temporarily so it would work, and then sent back their guy back with the needed parts to get it done within a week (he came in the pouring rain but still got the job done). They hauled off all the old equipment (with the help of my tractor as the salt tank was completely full and solid as a rock), and they also cleaned out my filters and anything that was stained with iron, which was a plus. I was shown how the softener operates and the well tank they put on was much larger (which was badly needed) than the old broken one. I am happy with the water softener and there is virtually no maintenance other than adding salt. It also solved my iron problem as well. 
A few days after they put the new electrical box on my water shut off and was not sure if it had to do with the wiring (which is was not). I checked the breaker box and it was fine so I called them back. I got a call back within minutes and a couple hours they came out. It was a bad switch on the well pump. They replaced it and fixed the problem...thankfully as if was Friday late afternoon.
I am very happy with all the work that was done, they were excellent with communication and got back to me very quickly, and overall I give them a top rating. Their prices were fair, they are very experienced, and I feel they went above and beyond which is a nice change from what most companies offer.

"The best way to earn word of mouth recommendations is to EXCEED your customer's expectations and. D and C Air and Water certainly did that in our case, going WAY beyond the call of duty - more so than ANY service provider I can recall in the decades I have been a home owner in the Tampa Bay area.
I found D and C while looking through Angie's List for a water conditioning service that had strong recommendations and was located near our Land O Lakes home. Our old low end water softener and water filtering system had stopped function so I wanted to look at both repair options and the cost of a new, professional grade system for both softening and filtering water.
If you are like me, you detest high pressure sales tactics, so I was delighted when D and C owner Dan and his assistant Tim came out and proved to be NO pressure guys. In fact after spending an hour with me to go over all of the options and answer all of my questions - then being told I would get back to them - they not only refused to take their standard payment for the call, they wouldn't even take the money for their half price coupon that I had printed out from Angies List!
After speaking with my wife, we both decided the cheap old system was not worth repairing (it had many issues during its life span and it was very hard to find parts or service for the brand we had). We decided on a professional quality GE system with an advanced KDF water filtering system added and called Dan back. They had offered a very reasonable all inclusive price for each option they presented and I did some online research to find out what the equipment cost, so I knew they were offering a very reasonable price.
They came out at the appointed time and did a great job of installing the system which has done everything we wanted it to do. Here is where the exceeding expectations part comes in. During our discussions Dan noticed the old softener was on a side of the house that had no water faucet (thanks to an odd decision by the home builder). Even with the water softener we had to wash our cars with the untreated hard water from the faucet on opposite side of the house next to our driveway. Of course, that left spots all over the car that had to be rubbed out every time. Dan never said anything about it, but when he knocked on our door to tell us they were done with the new system, he said, "Come out here, I want to show you something."
So when we went out to look at the system Dan shows us that he had installed not one - but two new water faucets as part of the new water softening/filtering system. One for treated soft water (for the car) and another for untreated water that could be used to water plants and the lawn. I was stunned, especially since he didn't charge an extra penny to do it the extra work and buy the extra parts! Truly amazing in this day and age.
We hooked up hoses to each of the new faucets - one with an extra long hose to reach the cars with soft water (no more spots!) and one for watering flowers, etc on that side of the house. We couldn't be happier with the value for the money we spent, or the exceptional job Dan and Tim did. I could not recommend them more highly and it is great to know they are just a call away if our system ever needs service.
These guys don't drive around in an expensive fleet van and are not a franchisee of some bigger operation. They are just hard working local guys who have earned their stellar reputations by making sure their customers are happy. They are the kinds of service providers we try to seek out and we feel extremely luck when we find them. Thanks Dan and Tim for a job well done!
