"I can't believe how smoothly this repair went! Everyone at Falcone--the schedulers who arranged our estimate visit and the repair work, the foundation experts who repaired the porch, the finance people who explained the estimate and our final bill--every single one of them was helpful, prompt, courteous, and great at their jobs. The county inspector who reviewed the porch repair even made a point of telling us what high quality work the Falcone people had done for us! I would definitely call them again! In addition, they installed a backer rod and applied concrete sealant to re-connect the porch foundation to house and prevent additional damage."

"Foundation Repair. We have had opportunity to use PowerLift twice in the past. Once in 2005 and once in 2009. The situation was that the clay soil in the Charlotte area expands and contracts with temperature and moisture. What had happened in 2005 was that cracks had appeared in the north side of the brick on our home. I contacted Jim McCown who came out and did a thorough inspection of the foundation. He found that piers were needed around the north west corner of our house. We had the repairs completed and were pleased with the result. They even repaired the cracks themselves so the brick was sound. Fast forward to 2009. We found that we were having problems with some of the interior and exterior doors operating correctly. I again called PowerLift, ready to accuse them of warranty issues with their work. As it turned out, the repairs done previously were fine, but the west side of our house, under the deck, needed remediation. PowerLift came out, dismantled the portion of the deck that was in the way, and stabilized the foundation in that area. Again, the cracks were repaired and the house stabilized. Fast forward to 2023. We're preparing to sell our home, so had Jim come out and verify that the piers were still doing their job. He verified that we were still in good shape. Are there other companies who do foundation repair? I suppose so, but we were so pleased with working with PowerLift in general and Jim McCown in particular that we could see no benefit in going anywhere else. "they made a mess of my yard ,they left my basement full of dust and cement. my whole house is covered with it. i bitched about it and they came out to clean it up, after a few minutes the said no-way . they sent me a check for 200 dollars , my wife and i with two maids are still cleaning . i think if we dont fix it soon my lungs will harden with cement.the wall covering was cut to long and has buckles in it.at this point i dont think there is anything they can or will do to make me happy.it's a lot of money to have to still be cleaning up after a month later. i see no end to it <br />"

"Jose did an excellent job! He was very responsive and provided a quote within a day or two of reviewing the site. Price was very competitive. He removed the existing porch and took away all the debris, selected matching brick, poured new concrete footings, added concrete blocks and stone for drainage, poured another layer of concrete and enlarged and rebuilt the brick porch and steps. This porch is here to stay. He cut out and matched up the walkway and sloped the brick floor away from the house. Jose cleaned up the site every day and finished the project in a short amount of time. I highly recommend him! Chris"

"Our soil is all clay which has the highest risk of damaging a foundation as it alternates between wet and dry. Even a light rain would leave us a soggy yard for days as most of the roof drained to the lawn via downspouts or popups. Water would collect at the front of our house because the front yard and driveway sloped down to the house. The builder used flimsy corrugated plastic tubes for underground connections to pop ups on the lawn. (One of flimsy tubes was blocked with debris.) Drain Designs did an excellent job connecting new commercial grade 4 inch PVC pipes to all downspouts plus installed two surface drains to collect water at the house front. The three-team crew (Rob, Dalton and Jonny) were courteous, skilled and hard working. They hand dug trenches next to the foundation against our home, carefully removing any plants which they watered and set aside. The PVC pipes were placed and securely connected with screws. All of the roof’s rain was directed through the underground PVCs to the woods behind our house. Downspout cleanouts for flushing were placed. The plants were replanted so carefully that neighbors could not tell that the work had been done. In the following week we had two intense downpours during which the new system worked flawlessly. No water pooled at the front of the house or in our yard. We highly recommend Drain Designs. BTW, their guarantee is a lifetime…not my lifetime but the home’s because it’s a Transferable Lifetime Warranty."
