"I’m hired this team when I first moved into my new home in October 2022. I’ve kept them since and they have consistently and reliably maintained my yard since then. They do great work and are respectful of my property. "

"Rafael and his team were excellent and reasonably priced. Professional, on time every time and the communication was impeccable. They poured footers and a slab for our 24x40’ 3 car garage and is perfect in every way. I will recommend them every time. "

"Adrian and his team completed a paver patio and walkway for us in March. It turned out better than expected! He understood exactly what we were looking for, made suggestions that improved on our vision and finished the job earlier than expected. Communication was great with both Adrian and Araceli and they were very easy to work with. Our backyard looks so much better and I cannot tell you how impressed we are. We would certainly work with them again in the future and highly recommend them!"

"We hired them to dismantle an existing walkway beside and behind the house and create a new one. WOW! It’s so beautiful and structurally sound. These guys are so easy to work with. The owner Dave, was able to make our somewhat hazy dreams a reality. Site manager Terry is knowledgeable and friendly. The staff are considerate of our property and friendly. We couldn’t be more pleased."

"I hired this company based on the cost quoted and small size of the project. The work being done was not complicated and I expected it would be completed with no problems. The employee arrived and started the job. He completed the painting of the bathroom trim but the tile work was not. He replaced the missing tile pieces and completed the grout work. However, the grout needed to cure as he explained for 48 hours upon his return, he would remove the excess grout and adhesive. So far, the work has not been completed as promised. I have contacted the company every day over the last 8 days and have not gotten the company to return to finish. Customer service from this company has been very poor. I have gotten in touch with them, and they keep making promises to return but no success. I plan to contact another company to repair the tile work. I will never utilize this company for any reason again. How this company got on Angi's list is surprising."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Durham, NC

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
