"Jon came out twice to consult with us on the job planning. Entailed repair of a hardscape we had torn up to renovate & expand our house. He had helpful design suggestions and the finished project looks much nicer than it did prior to the expansion. Also did significant work on drainage to eliminate run-off along with grading & sod work to complete the area. Can be challenging to reach when very busy & multiple projects are underway with weather delays, etc  but he is conscientious about  following up. His employees do quality work and were attentive to results and our satisfaction. We are pleased with the outcome and will continue to use Jon for ongoing needs.

"The project pricing was inline with the other bids, but they listened to what i was wanting done, explained what they were going to do exactly, did what they said, with the highest quality work. They were on time and completed the work quicker than they originally planned. If anyone needs drainage/run-off problems in their yard addressed I would highly recommend they consider Vert Life. Above what they promised they'd do, they reseeded, fertilized and spread straw over the areas where they had dug. Excellent work quality and great communication. They'd be tough to beat and they offer other lawn and garden services as well. I expect to use them again in the future."

"We chose Danny's Lawn Care for ongoing mowing/edging based on the great reviews, and I think we just had a bad experience. Pluses: Danny was very responsive, polite, and easy to reach and the price was in line with other services. The negatives: Ours is a small yard and so we weren't paying a lot. Because of this, I think we weren't a priority and our date of service often got pushed back to the point where we had to consistently text over a period of several days to figure out if they were going to be here. We could have lived with this, but the truly bad part was that we had specifically instructed that they NOT mow the back yard since it tends to be muddy in the spring until the trees in our back yard leaf out. Danny indicated his understanding of this and even offered just to use the weed eater back there. We confirmed this plan. When I came home one day, I found our back yard torn up. HUGE ruts in the yard. Large muddy places where the tractor turned up the dirt. Grass turned under and trampled into the mud.  My husband was out there for an hour trying to fix the worst of it, and we will have to re-seed places in the fall. I have no idea how someone could do that kind of damage and not notice what they were doing, or try to fix it. When we contacted Danny, he explained that the guys he had come out to do the mowing didn't follow his instructions about how to handle the back yard (even so -- common sense would have dictated you stop mowing with the tractor once you saw ruts that were literally 6 inches deep). I understand that it wasn't him personally who caused the damage, but then there needs to be a better system for conveying instructions and ensuring that they are followed. There was no apology or offer to try and fix the damage. I'm sure this was an isolated incident based on other reviews, but we  unfortunately had a bad experience.
