"Since we have had ice dam damage during two major snow storms over the past 10 years, our roof was 16 years old, and are planning to sell our house in 2019, we asked Power to assess the roof condition and give us an estimate for replacement. The salesman did a thorough inspection and pointed out several instances of wear and damage to both the roof and fascia boards. Although he spent much too long going over the Power products and the procedures (till too late at night), we were impressed by Power's multi-faceted approach to preventing ice dams and other water damage. What sold us on doing the roof now, however, before selling the house, was the salesman's assurance that the warranty was backed by a national company and transferable to the new owners. Since we have Gutter Shield gutter guards, he said that we'd need to have those removed by the Gutter Shield installer before the roof was done and then replaced afterwards. He did not tell us (and perhaps did not know), that replacing the fascia required removing the gutters and that they would need to be replaced exactly as before in order for the gutter guards to fit. This turned out to be a major problem. When the pre-install inspection manager came to go over the procedures and schedule the work, he told us that the gutters would have to be removed and there would be an additional charge to reinstall them. Because of the misunderstanding, he waived the re-installation charge---but apparently also did not know about the problem of re-installing the gutter guards onto gutters that were no longer exactly in the same place. Power sends a large crew, so the roofing job is normally completed in one day. We had some rain, so it took two days, which was not a problem and the roofing part of the job seems to have been done quite well. The supervisor of the roofing crew was super helpful and kept us abreast of everything they were doing. The fascia and gutter crew, however, had no obvious supervisor and did not communicate with either us or the roofing supervisor. Moreover, they used our vinyl deck railing to support a ladder (unnecessarily in our view) and damaged the railing, and they remounted the front gutter with too steep an incline (by a factor of two or more). Power sends a quality assurance manager after completion of the job to make sure everything is in order, provide the warranty information and collect the payment. When we read the warranty we discovered that Power's labor warranty is not transferable, contrary to what the salesman had told us. (The GAF shingle warranty is transferable, but that's true with any roofing company.) Since this was the decisive feature that led us to contract with Power, we raised objections. The quality assurance manager called the regional project manager, who prepared an addendum extending the labor warranty to the next owners. He also offered to pay the cost of having the Gutter Shield installer rehang the gutters with a correct incline. The pre-install inspection manager suggested that Mr Clean MagicEraser could be used to polish up the damaged railing (which we have successfully done) . Overall we were pleased with the company's thoroughness, quality of product, and communications. We would rate the work an 'A' except for the untruthful statements of the salesman and the poor communication and sloppiness of the fascia crew. We did not receive other quotes for the work, so we suspect that Power's was on the high side, though not too much out of line compared with what we paid in 2002. If the Power roofing system prevents future ice dams, any extra cost will be well worth it."

"Took down a dividing wall that required a new support beam. Initial wall demo and support beam done quickly. Issues started in the basement. Needed new posts in the basement. To do the work Scott had to cut out the concrete floor. Must have done this with a dry saw. Entire basement was covered in concrete dust. No attempt to cover anything was made including washer dryer and all stored items some of which was removed from upstairs to avoid the work in the living room. Pouring the concrete also left very uneven floor around the posts. Will have to be corrected if ever wanting to upgrade basement. Lastly the drywall repairs ceiling and some walls. Scott had to be told that the layers of mud needed to be sanded down to be considered paint ready as per our contract. Most was corrected but many corners and details left in poor condition His contractor for flooring was ok. Took 4 days longer due to double booking. Some wood slats were placed unevenly creating noticeable low and high pieces. Used Scott because he had an opening quickly but it was probably not worth it."

"We called up a few companies trying to get quotes on doing a full remodel of our home. Precision was one of those companies and we were able to speak with Anthony. He took our information and handed it over to Tony, the companie's estimator and owner. He came out to our home within the next 2 days and measured everything. About a week after that, we got our estimate which was not the cheapest, but was not the most expensive either. We decided to go with them because they were the most responsive, was able to show us past work, and the price fit our budget. The job it self went overall fine. There were a few bumps along the way, but that is common for most construction projects and it was nothing major. They never upped the price on us and we never had any issues with them showing up or completing the installation. The entire job took a couple weeks once all of the material came in. Overall I was very happy with my experience and would recommend them!"

"My rear porch needed some structutal and cosmetic improvements. I awarded the contract to Coen Construction. The owner Scott Coen provided me with a proposal outlining the scope of work to be done. His work crew show up early to commence the project. As with any project there will be delays such as the weather. When this occured Scott communicated that his work crew would not come out due to the weather or other scheduling issues. Whenever a issue arise on the job site, I would express my concern to the site foreman for a resolution. These will be escalated back to Scott and resolved without impacting the budget. Overall my impression working with Coen Construction was positive, they do quality work in a timely manner. I would utilize their services in the future if needed."
