I had researched pricing for this job on the internet so when he offered his price I knew it was a good deal. He quickly installed the machine and then he spent some time showing me all the functions of my new appliance. "One week after the birth of our firstborn, our stacked washer/dryer quit working. The guys at Appliance City provided a quotation for diagnostics and repair and also for a refurbished used unit. It made the most financial sense for us to just purchase the refurbished unit. The guys took me into the shop and showed me the parts they replace and how they test the used units. "I called Pat to repair a Westinghouse range that is from the 1970s. Since I am in the process of renovating the house and not to the kitchen yet, it is not an appliance I wish to replace. And, it had been working properly. Originally a repair person from Sears Applicance Repair evaluated the range and informed me that it needed to be replaced, it was so old that he could not find the information he would need to repair it, and it was a fire hazard anyway, because it it not have a range hood. Pat arrived to tell me exactly what was wrong with the range, ordered the part and had it repaired the next day. We also discussed the issue of it being a fire hazard and he assured me that the clearances around the range were appropriate, in fact, beyond code, and that there were no issues. It was a relief to work with someone who does not have a and quot;throw away and replace with something new.and quot; This is the second time Pat has worked on an appliance for me when another repair person has been unable to discover the problem. He is a gem who has been around long enough to really know appliances. <br />"

"I'd purchased used appliances from Spencer's in the past and had good experiences with them. I had purchased a refurbished washing machine in May 2013 for my personal use from another used appliance company and when the washing machine was not wringing the clothes out during the spin cycle, the business I'd bought it from (Kaady's Appliances) was obviously not interested in coming to do the repair (we had called them at least 2 times and they said each time they would call us back and never did). <br /> Spencer's was clear they charged $60 for a house call with a charge of $60/hour plus parts for anything beyond that. They were available the next day. The tech arrived on time and solved the problem quickly - removing items from the drain that must have been there when I bought the machine because none of them were familiar. He recommended using mesh bags for small clothing items in the future and said if we had any more difficulty he would return without charge. <br /> Very satisfactory experience --- I will not hesitate to use Spencer's again should I need their services. <br />"
