"We had a small job to remove/replace insulation that may have been soiled in our attic from a squirrel that got up there years ago. It was mentioned in our home inspection. After going up to take a look, Sean explained he didn’t see any soiled insulation but there was a small area that had been moved away from the corner and it was effectively empty. It was really too small a job though to warrant them coming out to blow stuff in so he recommended just taking a leaf blower up there to redistribute it evenly. Brilliant idea! He also graciously took a look at our crawl space and identified some areas we should address but ones we could do on our own. He was great to talk to and very helpful and reasonable. So nice in these days of everyone trying to upsell everything. If and when we need insulation work, we’ll be calling Dr. Energy Saver! Thanks so much, Sean Becker!"

"Mather and Sons were terrific to work with. Prompt service by sending out a technician, Wade, to check out the problem with the pump the very next day. Wade was thorough and explained in detail all problems he found. He then gave me a quote and had a team of very nice men, Omar and Hunter, out the next day to do the work. They were fast, courteous and answered all questions I had. I would highly recommend them for any of your pump or associated needs."

"<p>After the first major rain storm of the year, as we do every year we checked on our sump pump. This year was different, however; the trusty sump pump had quit after 26 years on the job. Water was about 2 inches over the sump and the pump float valve was not turning the pump on. It was kaput. </p> <p>After looking at Angie's List, I called Steve's Pump Service. While they specifically say that sump pumps are not their bread and butter (they are a well service company), they do say they will handle them. Given sump pumps don't fail often and there are not many companies who advertise they handle sump pumps (I'd guess many people call a plumber), I called to see. </p> <p>The person answering the phone was very cordial, got someone to return the call quickly (within 15 minutes), and he indicated someone would be on the way soon. </p> <p>The serviceman, Danny, called first; asked about fitting and pipe sizes so he could bring what an assortment to ensure he could install a new pump. He arrived within an hour and installed the pump. He expected a specific pigtail for the cutoff to be with the pump, and it was not...so he returned the next day with the piece, installed in in minutes and was on his way. </p> <p>Very responsive, polite, industrious. The price is within industry standards: I checked, and sump pump installations run from $400-600. And they took the old one away. </p> <p>From my experience, this is a top-notch company--I heartily recommend them. </p> <br />"

"Energetic plumber dove right in to the job, He was not quite high-pressure, but did push for OK to do two other drains that were a bit slow, to the tune of $80 each. We did OK his doing one of those, the other seems really OK to us. Both drains are running well now, and it appears that the one he re-plumbed will be easier for me or a professional to snake in the future. It was a rainy day, and he tracked quite a bit of dirt into our house and left the bathrooms a bit messy--but it wasn't hard for us to clean that up."

"On time, very quickly done. Came back again because I thought I still had a problem. They did a double-check, found no problem and did not charge for the second visit. Turns out the soaked carpet in the adjoining room all took place before they repaired and replaced the faucet and just took a few days to completely dry out."

"The pump went out on a Saturday night--we contacted him Sunday morning and he was at our house by 9 am. He didn't charge us for coming out to look at the situation. He helped us get water to our house from a neighbor's so we had water until he could get out with his truck (weather was terrible). He was back by Tuesday to do the job. Overall, it was miserable work getting his giant crane truck across our muddy pasture (we had to go through a neighbor's fence), putting down sheets of plywood to keep the truck from sinking, but he got it done. (The blue barrel in the picture covers our pump housing). He is very honest and straightforward. It was a huge unexpected expenditure, but he was very patient and helped us make the best decisions."
