"We are satisfied with the completed project. The project was completed in two days on the schedule that was promised. The fence looks good and appears to be sturdy. We have had a number of compliments on its appearance. However, we recommend that anyone doing a similar project be prepared to follow the project closely. The issues we encountered included 1) the initial building permit was obtained from the wrong town, 2) the initial contract was for a different design fence than what we had agreed upon, 3) the workers took no care to avoid ruts in our lawn which took a lot of personal effort to repair, and 4) the workers "hid" dirt from the fence holes under our evergreen trees, even though we had paid for it to be hauled away."

"Called for an estimate - based on the description, they quoted $750. It was about that (additional $50 was for taxes etc). Among 10-15 fence companies, this one was among the most reasonable for price. They came by three times - once to make an estimate, once to sink the poles into the ground, and once to install the gate. We are mostly happy with the gate. The 2 gates are not flush though, because as they discovered after they sank the poles and the concrete dried, our driveway is at a slight slope. One gate was installed at the highest point on the pole, the other on the lowest point, and it still was not enough to make it flush (by about 2-3 inches). The workers were apologetic, but at that point there wasn't anything they could do without ripping up the poles and starting over. It looks OK, but I feel like it would have been better if they put a level on the driveway before they sank the poles (so they could select a taller pole on one side), or else they could have let me know ahead of time that the driveway is sloped and the gate doors wouldn't be flush with each other. Despite that issue, the quality of the materials they used for the gate are very good, and I can tell it will last for many years. The owner (who did the estimate) told me the materials they use are better than other companies for the same price, and based on what I've seen from other companies, I'm sure this is true. Don't get me wrong - I am very happy with the work that they did, and I understand the gates not being flush is a physical limitation of the landscape - it just would have been nice to know that ahead of time, and I feel like they didn't realize it either since they tried unsuccessfully to get the gates flush with each other after they sunk the poles. I gave them a C for responsiveness - even though they were quite responsive on the initial call and estimate, they rescheduled the installation appointment 3 times (and I had to call to ask what was going on - they did not call me). In the end, there were about four weeks between the initial estimate and the gate install. I was initially under the impression that they would be able to do the job within two weeks. It was one of the reasons I had chosen them over other vendors."
